Story
Lucy is 2 years old, we rescued her from the Garland animal shelter. We did a foster to adopt. She is a great dog, very sweet and has lots of energy. We adopted her so our older pit could have a companion but her energy level is too much for our dog. We also have 3 kids and we don’t have the time to invest in the training she needs to be more self controlled. She is great with the kids and very sweet but my kids are little and when she gets her zoomies she gets too wild with them. She is full potty trained, is. Is not destructive and we don’t have to kennel her.

Meet Molly!Molly is a smart, playful, pup who’s ready to find her forever home! She knows her basic commands, walks well on a leash, and is both crate and house trained. She enjoys playing with toys—especially her mini jolly ball (not a tennis ball fan, what a silly girl!)—and gets along well with other dogs with slow and proper introduction. Molly can be a bit unsure when meeting new people, but with a little patience and kindness, she quickly warms up and lets her sweet personality shine. Once she feels safe, she’s incredibly loving and enjoys being by your side.Molly is happiest when she has a “job” or fun activity to focus on. If you want to be an all-star owner, get down with her on the flirt pole or introduce her to a new adventure spot once a week. Want to be a superstar? When you walk in the bay where Darby is she lets you know she’s there! She can be vocal. She’s a 3 yr-old 73lb English pointer/German shorthair pointer that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/31 as a stray. She’s very active but once out of the kennel, she settled down somewhat. She does sit for treats and takes them gently. When I called her from across the yard she came running to me. When I sat down, she came to me and wanted to get on my lap. But she also wanted to get my treats out of my pocket. She likes you to throw a ball for her and she will retrieve it. She has a lot of energy and will need a lot of exercise and enrichment. She is a really good dog, but her energy will need to be channeled. She does have a strong pull on the leash. She will need a large space to run in, but after she has run her energy out, she would love to be indoors, cuddling on the couch or in her own bed to be close to her family companions.
