Story
🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough. He’s loyal, driven, and ready to be someone’s best adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your partner in life, Atlas is your guy. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.forrescue.net Rescue: Friends of Rescue 💙

Story
Meet Grandma Mildred! She may be a senior with quite a few years under her collar, but she still has a spunky spirit. She doesn't let her "peg leg" keep her from chasing squirrels or exploring the backyard. Grandma Mildred will tell you how she is feeling with her old lady grunts. If you are hanging out on the couch with her, she will ask for belly rubs. She is content to chill with you in the evening (or all day long). Grandma Mildred gets along with other dogs but would also do just fine being your only fur baby. She is house-trained and sleeps in a crate at night. If you are looking for a sweet old pup to share your home and heart with, Grandma Mildred would love to meet you.
