Story
Winston is a smart, funny, and sweet dog. He loves being around people and would thrive with an owner who enjoys spending time with him, playing, and taking him on walks. He is a loyal companion and loves to be by your side. He is also well-behaved off-leash and reliably comes back when called. Winston is about five years old. We adopted him in 2019 from a young couple who could not care for him. At the time, our daughter, who was in high school, wanted a puppy of her own, so we welcomed him into our family when he was about six months old. Since then, Winston, along with our two older dogs, has been very well cared for. He has had regular vet checkups, monthly grooming appointments, high-quality food, vitamins, and heart worm prevention. Unfortunately, as recent empty nesters who now travel frequently, we can no longer provide him with the attention he deserves. We are seeking a new home for him to better meet his needs and offer him the time and companionship he craves.

Story
We do not know what exactly happened to Cooper prior to rescue but it is likely he was hit by a car as his entire front leg and shoulder were shattered beyond repair. Being in a high kill shelter His super sweet disposition saved his life as the shelter chose to amputate instead of euthanize to give him more time for his family to see him or be pulled by rescue. Unfortunately his family has not found him yet but we could not let this precious sweet soul recover in the stressful shelter environment and took him in. Cooper absolutely knows he was rescued and shows his appreciation in every wholesome sweet interaction. But this is only part of his journey and he deserves a loving family of his very own. He gets along with all humans and animals he meets, he is house trained and has such respectful house manners he can be crated or left out free when home alone. Now that he is recovered he is running and jumping and playing 3 legs and all. He does occasionally get a little tripped up and it is wise for his future family to mindful keeping him at a healthy weight as lessen the strain on his remaining leg but otherwise being a tripod does not limit or hold him back from having a happy active life. MEET ROO!!! Roo is a happy, goofy mix!  There is nothing better than watching this sweet boy be goofy while he does zoomies across the backyard.  Although Roo is a bigger guy, he is VERY gentle, mild mannered and loves belly rubs!!  He is a bit of a "talker", but NOT a barker... he likes to talk to you.   Roo is very food motivated, so he's easy to teach new things! He takes treats very gently like a gentleman and is always up for a peanut butter filled toy!  Speaking of toys, the more the better! He is a playful pup who can entertain himself quite well with his own playthings. Roo comes with his special night night blanket, which he happily curls up with at night.
