Sperro has been part of our family since he was a pup. He is very intelligent, vibrant and playful. He knows how to fetch his toys by name and to sit. He makes a great hiking buddy. He is also good with older children and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Sperro needs an active home where he will not be alone for long periods of the day. Due to my work schedule, I am away from home for up to 11 hours. This has become a problem because he can be very anxious.

Catarina's story: Meet Cata - she is a sweet little survivor with unforgettable golden eyes. Cata is a gorgeous mixed-breed girl (43 lbs and about 2.5 years ) who looks like a mini Weimaraner. She survived the streets of Puerto Peasco/Rocky Point, Mexico, and despite everything she's been through, she has become one of the sweetest, most affectionate fosters we've ever had. I'm Cynthia. I first saw Cata last March, limping down a busy road in obvious pain. She had likely been hit by a car, and her left front leg was badly affected. Since then, she has had x-rays, a CT scan, and evaluations from four veterinarians. The consensus is clear: although her leg has neurological damage and her elbow doesn't sit quite in line, surgery isn't recommended because she functions beautifully as she is. She does limp, and she will need daily medication for life, but she lives a happy, active, high-functioning life with absolutely no loss of spirit. And what a fun spirit she has! With medical care, training and months of safety and love, Cata has blossomed. She is playful, affectionate and behaves wonderfully with our pack. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, house trained and ready to live her best life. Now she deserves one more thing: a forever family who sees how special she is. I would happily keep her myself, but with three rescues already'| well, I'd like to stay married! What I can promise is this: Cata will give you joy every single day. She will ask for snuggles, belly rubs and love and she will repay you with loyalty, gratitude and those incredible eyes looking at you like you hung the moon. Meet Dale! A dog whose story is one of strength, determination, and endless affection.   Dale’s journey began in Costa Rica, where he survived being hit by a car more than two years ago. Although his injuries weren’t treated immediately, Dale never let that define his future. He sustained a spinal injury, but what he lacks in mobility at times, he more than makes up for in heart.   Before coming to the U.S., Dale lived on a farm with many other dogs, then spent several months in the home of a veterinarian receiving more frequent laser therapy. That care continues here, along with acupuncture, and while ongoing physical therapy may bring improvement, Dale has already proven he knows how to adapt and thrive.   Dale cruises confidently in his wheelchair, earning him his fitting nickname after Dale Earnhardt and when he’s out of it, he still gets around surprisingly well. Indoors, he wears a belly band to prevent accidents and happily uses a doggie door.   What truly makes Dale special is his personality. He absolutely adores people and soaks up attention from anyone willing to give it. He’s a devoted shadow, following his humans from room to room just to be close, and he’s a world-class snuggler. Dale does wonderfully with kids and currently lives peacefully with other dogs in his foster home.   After everything he’s endured, Dale deserves a loving home where he can finally settle in and feel secure. Meet our sweet 10-year-old girl. She absolutely loves walks, being outside, and having space to play. She’s still very playful and honestly seems much younger than her age. She’s incredibly sweet-natured, a little skittish at times, but we believe that comes from not getting the exercise and attention she truly deserves right now. She does well with kids, though she’s more indifferent than affectionate — if a child tries to pet her, she’ll usually just walk away rather than react. She’s not much of a cuddler, but she loves companionship, playtime, and being active. I would love to find her a family that genuinely enjoys daily walks, outdoor time, and maybe even another dog friend to play with. She deserves a home where she can really thrive and get the attention she needs in this stage of her life.
