Mama gave birth to me and my 11 littermates in a rural area of Miami. We were all adopted, and I guess I drew the short straw as my family had to surrender me back to the rescue, as they could not care for me anymore. I'm 1 1/2 years old now and a very good boy - I know I didn't do anything wrong, so I will wait patiently for my new family to take me home! My rescue believes I'm a Catahoula mix, possibly with cur. My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to an anonymous donor... I am up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. All I need now is a new home! Hi, my name is Rocky! I was found as a stray laying on a random front porch exhausted and sore from road rash. A Good Samaritan found me and reached out to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue to help me get the medical care I needed. I'm doing great now - a happy, healthy boy! I've had a pretty rough go of it in my past, but I'm a good boy who deserves a loving home. I know basic commands, I love the pool and playing fetch, and walk pretty well on leash. I'm best suited for a home with no other pets. I've done great with every human that I've met! I'm estimated at around 4 years old and last weighed in at 57 lbs. I'm currently being fostered by the great folks over at Arfington Pet Resort in Tamarac, Florida who fell in love with me when they met me a while back. My adoption fee has been reduced to $100 and includes the care I needed at the vet, up-to-date vaccines, microchip, neuter, and heartworm test (negative).If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. I am available for foster to adopt only. Meet Chandler! 🐾 Chandler is an 8-year-old Catahoula mix who qualifies for our Silver Paws VIP program. This very sweet boy has a gentle personality and so much love to give. He’s a loyal companion who just wants a cozy spot by your side and a family to call his own. Chandler does need to shed some extra pounds, but with regular walks, playtime, and a little portion control, he’ll be feeling better and healthier in no time. He’s more than ready to start this new chapter with someone who will help him along the way. If you’re looking for a calm, kind, and loving dog to share your life with, Chandler is waiting for you! 💕
