Many of you remember our urgent post about the two shut-down sisters who were scheduled for euthanasia. Thanks to this amazing community, one of the girls found her forever family… and now it’s Winnie’s turn. ❤️ Winnie has bloomed beautifully in her foster home. This sweet, petite girl (only about 40 lbs!) has been through so much, yet her heart is still full of love. She’s gentle, affectionate, and truly just wants to belong. She LOVES playing with other dogs and gets along wonderfully with cats — her foster says she’s an absolute gem. 🐶🐱💛 We would love nothing more than to see Winnie in her forever home before Christmas. She deserves to spend the holidays feeling safe, loved, and cherished. If you’ve been looking for a loving companion or know someone who is, please share Winnie’s story. What’s better than one Weimaraner? TWO obviously! 😍 Rye, the silver lady, is a 6 year old pocket Weim. Lucas, the big blue boy, is 4 years old. Rye and Lucas are both L4P alumni, adopted from us to the same family at different times, who were returned to us earlier this month 😫. Rye was originally found as a stray in rural north Florida in 2020. We pulled her as soon as we could, and upon first looking at her once she made it to us, we were sure she was a puppy because of her size. She was in fact a young adult, but she’s a little lady. Rye can be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up to new people and once she does, she’s glued to you. Lucas was also originally found as a stray in 2023. Lucas was skin and bones, severely ill from infection, and had an old, untreated broken leg. We jumped to get him out of the shelter as quickly as we could, and we spent a long time nursing him back to health. He does walk a little funny at times, but he is not in any pain and he doesn’t seem to even notice it. Lucas has never met a stranger and wants to be included in everything. Rye and Lucas love everyone - both dogs and people, but they especially love each other. They depend on each other for a lot, and they’ve proven to us that they have a strong bond. We love their bond and we will not break it, so we are looking for an adoptive home for them together. They are happy, smart, sweet, loving dogs and we know our Weim family will help us find the right home for them! Rye is spayed and Lucas is neutered. They’re both microchipped and up to date on vaccines. They’re fostered in Parrish, Florida, and their adoption fee together is $400. Meet Lambeau! This sweet and playful Weimaraner girl was sadly surrendered when her previous family didn’t have time for her, but she’s ready for a fresh start. Lambeau loves spending time outdoors, especially running around the yard and soaking up the sunshine. She gets along great with other dogs and kids, making her a wonderful addition to any loving family. Because of her breed’s energetic and sensitive nature, Lambeau would do best with someone who has experience owning a Weimaraner. She doesn’t like loud noises such as storms or fireworks, so she’ll appreciate a calm and comforting home during those times.

She has been such a wonderful companion to us, but unfortunately, with our busy schedule, we don’t have the time to give her the care and attention she deserves. About Oakley: Very loving and gentle- great with children Loves being close to people and cuddling Enjoys daily walks and running (always comes back when called!) Super cute with a heart of gold Healthy, up to date on care, but needs a sensitive stomach diet She truly is an amazing dog, and it’s very hard decision for us to rehome her. We want her to go to a family that has the time and love to give her the attention she thrives on ❤️
