Story
Silver is a handsome, athletic boy looking for something very specific: an experienced, active home committed to continuing the work we’ve started with him.
Silver is smart, energetic, and thrives with structure, clear expectations, exercise, and consistent training. He is both muzzle trained and e-collar trained, and his adopter will need to be comfortable maintaining the tools and training that have helped him succeed.
When Silver first came to us, interactions with other dogs required careful management. With proper introductions, structure, and a lot of work, he now lives harmoniously as part of our pack. That’s a huge accomplishment—but it doesn’t mean his dog reactivity has disappeared. Silver can still be reactive toward unfamiliar dogs, and he should never be expected to meet unknown dogs casually or without a proper introduction.
We want to be transparent about what Silver needs because we know the right home is out there. He isn’t the dog for someone looking for an easygoing pup who can immediately go anywhere and meet every dog he sees. He is the dog for someone who enjoys training, understands canine behavior, leads with consistency, and wants an active companion to build a relationship with.
Silver has already shown us how much he can accomplish when someone gives him the structure and guidance he needs. His adopter won’t be starting from scratch—they’ll be continuing his success.
For the right person, Silver is going to be one heck of a companion. ❤️
