Story
Meet Schultz Our Lovable, Loyal Gentleman Waiting for His Forever Home Shultz has been part of the Great Lakes Weim Rescue family for over 700 days, and while we adore every moment with him, we know his perfect person is out therejust waiting to meet this one-of-a-kind guy. This handsome 8-year-old silver boyhas a crinkled ear that only adds to his charm and character. Hes a quirky soul with a gentle heart, and hes looking for a calm, quiet home where he can be someones devoted companion. He would lovea human whos home often and preferablya household with another mellow dog to hang out withwhen you are gone, Shultz thrives when he has a pack to belong to. Hes not demandingjust a short walk or meander in the yardto sniff the world is enough for him. After that, hes perfectly content to snooze on a dog bed thathes carefully fluffed andarranged for maximum comfort (hes quite the interior designer!). Shultz has also taken on the very important role of yourofficial door greeter. When you come home, hell be there, tail wagging, ready to welcome you back with joy and devotion. Shultz gets along well with other dogs who are calm and respectful. He prefers a slow, proper dog-to-dog introduction, and once hes comfortable, he fits right in. Hes also a vigilant little guardianalways ready to alert you to any stranger danger, even if its just a squirrel with suspicious intentions. Hes deeply committed to his human pack and does fine with guests who areintroduced in neutral spaceslowly outside of the homein the yard. Once he knows theyre approved, hell happily welcome them as part of the extended pack. Health-wise, Shultz is doing well, though hes starting to show a bit of arthritis in his back legs. He may move a little slower when getting up (dont we all?), but it doesnt stop him from enjoying life'slittle pleasures. His favorite pastimes? Backing up for butt scratches (his reverse "beep-beeper" is broken, so don't be surprisedashell do it anywhereeven when he visits you inthe bathroom!), emptying the toy box, selectingjsut the right toy or chewand rolling around playfully on itbefore settling in with the perfect chew toy. And when its mealtime? Prepare for drama! Hell flop dramatically on the living room floor like hes wasting awaysprawled out like he would need a chalk line around him until the scent of rotisserie chicken hits the air. Then its happy feet time as he trots to the kitchen like a brand-new dog. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, quirky, and loyal old soul, Shultz would love to meet you. Hes patiently waiting to see if theres a sparkand we know that when the right person comes along, itll be magic.

Story
Luna is a beautiful 5-year-old silver blue Weimaraner with a spunky, playful personality that lights up every room she enters. She loves to stay activewhether its going for walks, playing with her favorite toys, or chasing after squirrels and other backyard wildlife. Luna is also a big fan of the outdoors and enjoys swimming whenever she gets the chance. Shes an eager-to-please girl who thrives with structure and will do best with a family that can provide consistent, firm boundaries. Luna loves being the center of attention and would be happiest in a home with children ages 10 and up who can match her energy and enthusiasm. Luna is continuing to work on her manners and learning that not everyone she meets is a dog lover, but shes making great progress with guidance and patience. She is currently being lovingly fostered in Menomonee Falls, where shes learning and growing every day. If youre looking for a fun, loyal, and spirited companion, Luna may be the perfect fit for your family.

Story
Rio is a beautiful 5 year old Weimaraner mix - with a Lab we believe. Rio was likely dumped by his owner as he was found in the forest of a nature preserve with Santorini (see Sandys bio). Both dogs were likely in survival mode for several months. Theyre remarkably resilient dogs currently being fostered in Grand Haven, Michigan. They do not have to be adopted together - but if youre in the market for a pair of dogsSandy & Rio would be ever so grateful.

Story
Meet London! London is an 9-year-old silver Weimaraner with a gentle soul and a friendly, easygoing personality. She is the kind of dog who just wants to be near her people, enjoy a nice walk, and live a calm, comfortable life. This sweet girl is very kind and submissive with other dogs. Even in a situation where another dog reacted to her, London did not respond with aggression, which speaks to her soft and tolerant nature. She has done well being left alone with other dogs for five to six hours at a time and would likely do well in a home with canine companions. London loves people and greets everyone happily with no fearfulness. She is housebroken and walks nicely on a leash without pulling, although she does enjoy stopping to sniff along the way. While her formal obedience training is minimal, London does know how to sit and responds reliably. She just prefers not to hold it for very long. She has a typical prey drive and may show interest in small animals, but she is not overly energetic or rambunctious. She is more of a calm, steady companion who enjoys a relaxed pace. Londons ideal home: Someone looking for a gentle, lower-energy companion A home that appreciates a well-mannered, housebroken dog An adopter willing to continue light training and structure A home with other friendly dogs would be a great fit If you are looking for a sweet, loyal, and easygoing companion, London could be the perfect match for you.

Story
Ollie is a 6-year-old long-haired silver Weimaraner with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a love for both adventure and snuggles. Hes ready to find a home that can keep up with his energy and appreciate all his lovable quirks! Ollie absolutely loves to run and playboth physically and mentallyso hell thrive with an active person or family who can give him plenty of enrichment and exercise. One of his sweetest habits is self-soothing with his beloved purple blanket (which will come with him!), and hes always happy to soak up ear scritches or settle in with a good chew. This handsome guy is very food-motivated (he especially loves Cheez-Its!), which makes him a quick learner and fun to train. He already knows basic commands like sit, down, and shake, and his recall is pretty reliablethough sometimes he needs a second call while he finishes whatever hes investigating! Ollie is friendly with people (hes especially fond of men) and gets along well with other dogs and even cats. He hasnt shown any resource guarding and will happily trade treasures like plastic, books, or snacks he sneaks for a tasty treat. Hes also a total cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up after playtime. Ollie does have some anxiety and is currently on medication to help him feel his best. He can be vocal while traveling but settles well in a kennel in the car. Hes a strong boy and will need a harness for walks and a confident handler. Groomingespecially nail trims and brushing the feathers on his back legscan be stressful for him, so hell need a patient home willing to continue working with him (a muzzle may be needed for nail trims). Ollies ideal home: Active and able to provide plenty of physical and mental exercise Committed to continuing his training (hes smart and eager!) Understanding of his anxiety and supportive of his needs Ready for a loving, goofy, and affectionate companion If youre looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog who will keep you active and then curl up for cuddles, Ollie might just be your perfect match! If you'd like, I can shorten this for Petfinder or make a punchier version for social media.
