He will need a strong family that is willing to put the time and energy into bringing out his full potential! He is crate trained, has learned sit and is working on leash manners. Would prefer a home with kids 16 yrs old and up as he is so doofy and doesnt realize his size! Simba is weird with woman and would do best in an active male household that would love to do training with him. He's stubborn but equally loving. He's been thru hell and he just doesn't know up from down. We love this dog and have a long history with him that is NOT his fault. We want to place him into a home that will do right by him and love him forever. He deserves that. A woman nearly starved and killed him. But his foster mom saved him. Blaze is an 88-pound Weimaraner–American Bulldog mix who was surrendered simply for being “too big.” At just over a year old, he’s still very much a youngster, and he’s carrying around a whole lot of love he hasn’t quite figured out how to share yet. Here at the shelter, Blaze is scared and unsure, and it’s clear the world hasn’t given him much guidance so far. But the moment he feels safe, he leans in with a sweetness that makes you want to wrap your arms around him and tell him everything’s going to be okay. He hasn’t been socialized with other dogs, so he’s hoping for a home where he can be your one and only while he learns about life at a gentler pace. Blaze may be hefty, but inside he’s just a sensitive soul looking for someone who will see past his size and notice the worried, hopeful pup underneath. With patience, kindness, and a steady routine, this boy is going to shine.
