Story
Nibs is "happy, joyful and debonair, possibly the bravest Lost Boy. He was named after Nibs, a Lost Boy from Peter Pan. You see our Nibs seems to be deaf and being a deaf, young puppy is scary but Nibs is very brave about it. He is a big derpy boy. He is awesome and comical! You will need to watch out for his big feet because he will step right on yours. Nibs will body lean for pets and his tail wags will show you how happy he is... so happy you will need to watch out because it will snap you like a whip. Nibs wants to be friends and loved by everyone! Cats, he can be curious but will run scared and knock down anyone is his way at the first sign of any aggression. Dogs, he loves them all but can be a bit much for them being deaf. He doesn't hear their verbal cues but has learned quickly how to read their body language. Kids, while he does well with everyone, toddlers can be unpredictable and with Nibs being deaf a small child can be knockdown out of fear when he is startled but he adapts quickly and easily. Nibs does not jump on or lick you but he loves belly rubs. While he loves to play and can be a bulldozer, he enjoys relaxing and taking naps a lot. He likes all toys and fetches but either wants to play tug of war upon return or hides it. Give Nibs a hard chew like a nylabone or Himalayan cheese and he redirects very well with them. Nibs is super smart as well as a quick learner and has learned hand signs. He knows how to go (wherever someone points to: crate, room, outside, ETC), come (to the person signing), sit, lay down and he is doing well with No (when he needs to calm from play inside or when he wants to hump). Nibs gets overly excited and does try to hump things, mainly blankets or one of the other dogs. He redirects easily with a tap and the sign for no. It has actually become A-LOT more rare these days. He is overall the sweetest, most chill, energy filled to lazy snuggle boy. He loves being around his people but will dart back with new introductions. He likes to sniff and get chin pets but not reaching over his head. He learns so much through smell and sight because he cannot hear. Once he says "hello you will find him either wanting to playful bow and get you to play with him or lean in for pets and love while taking a seat at your feet.

Story
POPPY is a beautiful, approx 4yr female, crate trained, house trained, fully vetted (vaccinated & spayed) and HW negative. SHE is about 65lbs, possibly a Weimaraner mix of lab, hound, terrier and part comedian….. with little/no shedding, and a very sensitive tummy and spirit. POPPY is extremely loyal, loving, highly intelligent, and thrives best with a routine which helps her feel safe and secure. Human companionship brings her great comfort, peace and joy. Consistency and routine is important so she feels safe, secure, and it helps her understand & know “what to do that is right and pleasing“ for her caretaker. She has great eye contact and a super sensitive spirit, learns quickly as she is definitely treat motivated. She does well with adults when introductions are calm and low key; she has had very little interaction with small children; she seems fine with young adults (15 and older). Poppy is a “highly sensitive dog” (see page2)....meaning she is very alert/aware of her companions and environment, and changes to either may cause a short span of anxiety or stress unless reassured "all is good". POPPY can be calm, relaxed while you watch TV or read or work. SHE LOVES her toys and benebones; she has multiple ones she plays with constantly throughout the day. SHE can be self entertaining w/her toys – and prefers not to share with other dogs. Outside she has strong prey drive, loves to protect the yard from squirrels or other critters that might invade “her” space; sometimes during outside playtime she will explode with a few zoomies. Poppy is always ready for a car ride, and will walk well on leash with her harness. Poppy is in foster home located in Miami County, OH. We typically adopt within a 120mile radius of Miami County, OH and recommend a fenced yard for our adoptable friends. Adoption application is online; visit the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org

Story
🌴 Meet Bahama! 🌴Bahama is a sweet Weimaraner mix puppy, around 4 months old and currently 15 lbs of pure love. She truly doesn’t have a mean bone in her body! Bahama is gentle and polite—she won’t argue over food or push her way to the front for attention. She’s calm, kind, and a total cuddle bug who’s happiest snuggled up with her people. 🥰Bahama's mom was only 40 lbs full grown, dad? no idea of his mix or size. This smart girl learns quickly and is a great listener. She already knows how to sit on command and made excellent progress with potty training during her short time in foster care. Bahama loves all kinds of toys, is treat-motivated, and enjoys playtime—but she doesn’t need constant excitement to be happy. She’s wonderful with cats and dogs, very social with people, and has a nice balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. Words that describe Bahama best? Affectionate, couch potato, lap dog, playful, and just a tiny bit vocal when she wants to play—because who doesn’t like to be heard? 🐶🎾✨ Bahama is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm and flea & tick prevention.💲 Adoption fee: $300If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing puppy who will fit beautifully into just about any home, Bahama might be your perfect match. 💕🐾 How to AdoptApply online at www.highlandhumanesociety.org—or—Stop by the shelter to meet available animals:🕒 HoursMonday–Friday: 12–5 PMSaturday: 11 AM–3 PMPlease arrive at least 30 minutes before closing to allow time for adoption. If you’re dreaming of warmer days and a loyal, loving companion, Bahama might just be your perfect island escape! 🌴🐾💛We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. Story
This handsome goofball is a Weimaraner–Lab mix with model looks and full-on cartoon physics. Comet is a little shy at first and will need a patient, understanding family willing to give him time to warm up. But once he does? You’re it. He’ll happily become your goofy little shadow, following you around like it’s his full-time job. He communicates in two very clear ways: The Nose Push and Out Loud Opinions. If you’re busy or accidentally ignoring him, no worries—he’ll simply materialize behind you and gently (or not-so-gently) poke you with his snoot until you remember he exists. Problem solved. His favorite hobbies include playtime with his doggy bestie, chewing on toys and bones like it’s a professional sport, and playing on top of literally anything—beds, couches, toys, and yes… humans. When playtime ends and recharge mode begins, he’ll either dramatically plop himself directly on you or use you as a shield to hide behind. Advanced tactics. Very effective. Comet is an adorably uncoordinated, silly boy who loves other dogs and is still undecided about cats (friend? snack? mysterious moving furniture?). One thing he is absolutely certain about: he has the most beautiful eyes and the sweetest face you’ve ever seen—and he knows exactly how to use them. He’s learning his commands and already crushing “sit.” And if you mention the word treat? He’ll march straight into his kennel like a perfect angel who has never done anything wrong in his entire life. In short: Comet is goofy, loving, a little shy, deeply dramatic, and completely irresistible—and once he chooses you, he’s ready to push his nose straight into your heart. Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
