Thank you to everyone who shared, supported, and helped him get his second chance.Luke came into a Georgia shelter as a stray and was looking for a way out before making the trip to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Now safe in Wisconsin, he is beginning his new chapter and adjusting to life outside the shelter.Luke is a 2-year-old Lab/Weimaraner mix with a friendly, playful, and well-balanced personality. At the shelter, he was considered an “elite” temperament dog and quickly became known for getting along well with both male and female dogs. He loves to play, explore, and stay active, and he would thrive in a home that includes him in daily adventures and regular exercise.He is:• 2 years old• Male (neutered)• 65 lbs• Lab/Weimaraner mix• Heartworm negative• Potty trained • Crate trained • Good on leash• Good with dogs• Good with kids• Good with catsLuke is currently settling into foster care and enjoying the safety and comfort he deserves.If you are interested in adopting Luke, please apply today:www.muttlife.org__________Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption. __________Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies_________ADOPTION PROCESS:1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
