Say Howdy to Daryl and Jessie! Their owner had to surrender them after an unexpected medical condition left him unable to care for them.  This bonded pair are only a year apart, and have been raised together since puppyhood so we really want to keep them together! He’s a little bit country and she’s a little bit rock-n-roll, but they go together like peas and carrots!  Daryl is a laid-back, handsome brindle with a sweet, calm demeanor, and gives the best dog hugs ever! The true hound that he is, he loves long walks with his nose to the ground or in the air to make sure those pesky squirrels stay up in the trees.  But don’t let him fool you, he has a funny, mischievous side as well.  If his nose can reach it, his mouth can eat it, but only when you’re not looking.   While Daryl is happy moseying along, Jessie’s ready to put the pedal to the metal.   She puts the “sass” in sassafras!   When this girl gets excited, clear the floor, ‘cause she likes to dance like no one’s watching!  This little fashionista somehow matched her eyes to her coat, she’s a real beauty!  But there’s nothing she loves more than snuggling up with you on the couch.  That is, once you move her over an inch and squeeze in beside her.  She’s not giving up her spot easily! They may be polar opposites, but they agree that they are looking for somebody with a lot of love to give…and treats(bones)…and cuddles…and belly/butt rubs and, oh yeah, a big yard would be great because, well, they’re not the best on leash, but they’re getting better!   December 2, 2024, 4:04 pm

Think of him as a dog who truly believes that with the right guidance, he can fly. Creed has successfully lived with all sorts of friends, including cats, other dogs, kiddos and even lizards! This playful guy will thrive in a home with space to run, explore, and burn off his puppy energy. Toys are one of his great loves, and he’s still learning which ones are fair game. With consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement, he’s well on his way to being stronger than yesterday. Thoughtful toy management and treat trades are important, especially around kids or visitors. Ruger is a very sweet German Shorthaired Pointer with a friendly, loving personality. While he isn’t as high-energy as some GSPs, he still enjoys having space to explore and would appreciate a home with land or a large yard where he can safely seek out little adventures. Ruger does well with other dogs, though he will need to meet any potential canine siblings prior to adoption to ensure a good match. He has been around children ages 2 and up and does great with them. He is fully potty trained, eager to please, and absolutely loves attention. Ruger truly enjoys meeting new people and soaking up all the affection he can get. Due to some allergies, Ruger is currently on a fish-based diet, which we recommend continuing.
