Story
Pierce is a good looking boy straight from the streets of Houston. He is a wonderful, funny boy when he trusts you but trust is not something that comes easy for him. He has obviously been let down by humans his entire life. He is currently living with our trainer, who is helping him understand that humans can be good and trusted. Pierce is just about 2 years old, 60 pounds and maybe a schnauzer/husky mix. He needs an experienced handler who can continue to help him build h is confidence and trust in humans. Pierce is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Pierce is currently heartworm positive but we will continue to cover treating him through the slow kill method. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this handsome guy, just fill out the appropriate application found at scoutshonor.org.     Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs April 21, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
Our sweet Sophie has been with us so much longer than we expected!!! Can you help this precious girl find her home? Sophie is just about 2-3 years old and about 50 pounds. She is the cutest schnauzer mix with her wiry fur. SNUGGLES are the biggest MUST in this girl’s life. She is super sweet and needs LOTS of love and attention. Sophie is great with kids and loves to lay in the sunshine in the backyard. Sophie gets along with other dogs but seems to prefer dogs smaller than she is. She can be friends with larger dogs but it may take a few meetings. She LOVES the kitties!!! If you are looking for a FANTASTIC snuggle bug, Sophie just might be your girl! Sophie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative.  April 21, 2024, 9:22 pm
