Name: Freedom       Best Guess for Breed:  Wheaten terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  5 years as of October 2025       SEX:  Male   Approximate Weight:  22 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Freedom would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Freedom is Looking For: Freedom is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He's a giant sweetie who wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures his new humans can dream up - oh yes, those too! But most of all, he wants to know where he belongs, to always be safe and loved. In exchange, he has so many adoring gazes, so much loyalty to offer. What do you say? What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once he has spent time in foster care.  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
