Story
Whippet / Pit Bull Age: Puppy Sex: Female 'Hello friends! I'm your Vitameatavegamin girl!' My name is Lucy and I am a 1.5 year old whippet/pitbull mix! I was found as a stray until Love Connection stepped in and saved me. A little about my history. Unfortunately, I was forced to be a young mother and sadly I wasn't treated kindly as I am a bit timid and shy when you first meet me. But despite that, will you please let me show you that I do not have a mean bone in my body? I get along great with other dogs and even cats too! I haven't been able to have much experience with children yet so it is recommended that I get to live in a home with children 10 and older. I enjoy going for walks and I do very well on a leash! I love to play with toys! And when I'm very comfortable, I even love to enjoy snuggle time with my humans. Lastly, I will need an adopter who would be willing to put in the time, love, and patience into building that special bond with me and a home that is relatively calm! Are you ready to open up your front door and say 'Lucy , I'm home!' https://forms.gle/smHE33Vf5m28cknv7

Story
I'm not as serious as my photo makes me look. I'm really a cuddly little girl who loves to play and hang out with everyone. I do well with other dogs that like to play, but I don't want to share my mommy so I will be happiest in a home with no other dogs (you can take me to small dog parks with separate sections for little dogs so I can play!). I'm a Chihuahua blend, about 8 years old and about 25 pounds (and yes I need to lose a pound or two but I know you will help me!). I am residing with one of the amazing Friends for Life foster homes, and I'll be at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm, or you may email Debbie@AzFriends.org to arrange a weekday meeting. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the dog. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Story
REDUCED ADOPTION FEE! He is now $20, he needs a home asap He has now been with us over 300 days! Meet Chevy! He came from a life where he spent the first YEAR of his life on a 15 lb thick metal CHAIN on his neck and in the blistering Arizona sun and heat. A good samaritan was able to get it off of him and he took off running (Probably to get as far away from the chain as he could!!!) We spent time setting up a food and water station with a trap tied open about a block from where he was chained. Finally, on day 7 we set the trap and secured Chevy! He has been with us now for awhile but is ready for his forever home! He goes potty in the yard and on a leash. He knows the doggy door and his favorite place to hang out is right next to you on the couch watching movies and reading books. If you want to give this sweet boy a chance at forever, please complete the application! If you see this, he is still available! Adoption application link (google form) https://tinyurl.com/AdoptBCR

Story
It is Sully's time to shine. This boy came into the rescue cold wet and half starved. He has been just the sweetest most gentle soul since the very beginning. Sully has never been any sort of problem with his two fosters. He has been a long term foster at his current foster moms and she would love to tell you all about him. He is going to be a tough one for her to let go. He is great with other dogs and his foster mom has a cat as well. Sully is house trained, loves car rides and walks. He needs a "PERFECT" sign blinking over that cute little head of his. This boy is about the right weight for his age now and coming in at 35 pounds at approximately 8 months he is a great size dog. Not too big not too small. Once adopted he will travel via private transport to a location close to you. If you would like to give this adorable fella the home he deserves please get your application in today!!!
