Pet Location: Wayside Waifs Campus Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me! My Friends at Wayside say: -I’m smart and food/treat motivated. -I already know some commands!-I was house-trained in my previous home.-Volunteers say that I walk well on leash here at the shelter. My home needs are: -I need alone time when eating or playing with my toys. For that reason, kids in the home need to be 6 years old and older. -Cats and small mammals are much too interesting to me, so my home will need to be cat and small mammal free.Hey there, I’m Roxy! I’m a 10-year-old whippet/terrier mix with a cute red coat, big ears, and plenty of personality! I love taking walks, being outside, and hopping in a car for a ride. I love being near my people, especially when it means cuddling in a lap or leaning in for some good neck scratches. I’m also pretty smart! I know some commands, I’m house trained, and love treats (especially the soft ones) are a great way to get my attention.I have got to take several field trips. It is so much fun to get out of the shelter for a while. I went to Suburban Lawn and Garden, Dutch Bros and Chicken & Pickle. I did great when meeting people. I really was just along for the ride, up for anything that might come our way. I would be the perfect shopping partner. I love car rides and just hanging out with you.I also went to the Shake Shack at Town Center Plaza. I was great around other dogs that we encountered! I met children of all ages. I was gentle and sweet to everyone! I loved my hotdog and pup cup at Shake Shack. I am the sweetest, gentle soul. I careful taking food and very calm with small children. I think they loved the outing as much as I did.When the fun is over, I am perfectly happy curling on the couch with my family. However, I do need some personal space during mealtime, and cats, and small mammals are a little too interesting for me, so I’ll need a home without them. I may be an older gal, but I have plenty of love, cuddles, and adventure to share. Come meet me at Wayside Waifs!Love, Roxy
