Story
If you would like more information about Dakota or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to gene.peeples@att.net
My daughter accepted this bundle of joy from a free-lance "rescuer" without asking her parents' permission. Our circumstances are just not conducive to providing a proper home to this precious pup...two cats in the house already, no back yard, parents both work and daughter attends school (and leaves for a 4-week sleep-away camp in 2 weeks). We have posted Dakota as a "found dog" on PawBoost and had her scanned for a chip (there is none).
"Dog-people" in our neighborhood have opined that Dakota could be a mix of whippet, boxer and/or Italian greyhound. Apparently, she had another home prior as she is potty trained. She has a healthy shorthair coat, is energetic yet gentle, not a barker, chewer or biter, and is playful around other dogs and children in the neighborhood. She is a little nervous at first meeting, but then warms up. She has been sleeping in my daughter's bed and curls up next to her. This dog will make a great pet for someone, and we really want to find her a home!
