Hi, I’m Dean! 🐾💙🐶
I’m an approximately 11-week-old Terrier/Dachshund mix with a BIG personality, endless puppy energy, and a very important message for my future family…
I'VE GOT PLACES TO BE AND TOYS TO PLAY WITH! 🤣💙
If you're looking for a confident, playful, independent little guy who will keep you laughing with his hilarious personality and eventually settle down for some cuddles, I might just be your perfect match!
First things first… I'm a busy boy! 🐕💨
My foster says I'm basically the Energizer Bunny in puppy form!
I just keep going… and going… and going!
There are toys to chase, games to play, dogs to wrestle with, and so many exciting things happening around me!
How could I possibly sit still when there's this much FUN to be had?!
One of my absolute favorite things in the world is playing with other dogs! 🐶💕
Big dogs? Let's play!
Small dogs? Even better!
Another puppy who wants to run around? COUNT ME IN!
I'm used to being around both big and small dogs, and I absolutely love having furry friends to play with.
But here's something that makes me a little different from some other puppies…
I'm also perfectly happy entertaining myself!
That's right! I'm an independent little guy! 😎🐾
My foster says I have absolutely no problem finding a toy and keeping myself busy.
I don't always need someone to entertain me because I'm pretty good at finding my own fun!
Give me a toy, a safe place to play, and a little room to move around, and I'll happily create my own adventure.
But if YOU want to join in?
Well, that's even better!
Especially if we're playing TUG-OF-WAR! 🪢🤣
I LOVE a good game of tug!
There's just something so exciting about grabbing onto a toy and showing everyone how strong this little puppy can be.
I might be tiny, but don't underestimate me!
I've got a whole lot of determination packed into this little body!
Now, let's talk about something very important…
My cuddle schedule. 🥹💙
You see, I DO enjoy affection.
I really do!
But there's a time for cuddling…
And there's a time for PLAYING!
And sometimes my humans get those two things mixed up! 🤣
My foster says that if I'm busy playing and someone decides to pick me up, I have a few things to say about it.
And by a few things, I mean I will moan, groan, and make my feelings VERY clear!
"Excuse me?!"
"Can't you see I'm BUSY?!"
"Put me down! I have important puppy business to attend to!" 🐾🤣
And if my foster starts laughing at my dramatic little complaints?
Oh, you better believe I'll talk back!
That's right!
I've got opinions, and I'm not afraid to share them!
My foster thinks it's hilarious, but I take my playtime very seriously!
However…
Once I've finally slowed down and used up some of that endless puppy energy, I turn into a much more relaxed little guy.
That's when I'm ready to sit in your lap, enjoy some affection, and spend a little quiet time together. 🥹💕
I might not be the kind of puppy who wants to be carried around all day, but when I'm ready for some love, I absolutely enjoy being close to my people.
I just like having a little say in when cuddle time begins!
What can I say? I'm a puppy who knows what he wants! 🤣💙
Now, let's talk about my education! 📚🐾
I'll admit…
I'm not exactly the top student in puppy school just yet!
My foster says I don't know any commands right now, and when it's time to practice, I'd usually much rather be playing.
Sit?
But there's a toy over there!
Stay?
What if I miss something exciting?!
Come?
Okay, but are we going to PLAY?! 🤣
I'm still very young, and I have a whole lot of learning ahead of me.
My future family will need to be patient, consistent, and ready to make training fun and rewarding.
Short training sessions, positive reinforcement, and plenty of opportunities to burn off my energy will help me start building good habits.
And because I'm only about 11 weeks old, I'll need guidance with all the basics of puppy life.
That includes potty training, household manners, appropriate chewing, and learning how to listen even when something exciting is happening nearby.
Right now, I spend time in a playpen with pee pads, and I'm also doing well spending time in a crate.
But I'm not fully potty trained yet, so my future family will need to help me transition to a consistent bathroom routine.
The good news?
I'm already comfortable with some structure, and with time and patience, I can keep making progress!
Now, let's talk about my dream home! 🏡💙
My foster believes I could fit into just about any loving family!
A big family?
Sounds exciting!
A smaller household?
That works, too!
An apartment or townhome?
Sure, as long as I get plenty of opportunities to play and exercise!
A house with a backyard?
NOW YOU'RE SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE! 🤣🌳
I'd absolutely love having a safe, securely fenced outdoor area where I can run around, explore, and burn off some of my puppy energy.
A backyard would be wonderful, but what matters most is having a family who understands that I'm an active little puppy who needs plenty of playtime and attention.
I'm also good with big dogs, small dogs, and older children ages 10 and up!
My foster believes I could fit into a family with children of different ages, but because I'm still so young, energetic, and learning my manners, younger children would need gentle, supervised interactions with me.
And while I love playing with other dogs, I don't necessarily need someone entertaining me every second.
Remember, I'm pretty good at finding my own fun!
I'd love having a family who appreciates my independent personality while still giving me the love, guidance, and companionship every puppy deserves.
✨ My ideal home:
💙 A loving family who enjoys a playful, energetic puppy
💙 Plenty of toys and opportunities to keep my busy little paws entertained
💙 A securely fenced backyard where I can safely run and play
💙 A family who appreciates my funny, independent personality
💙 Friendly dog siblings would be a wonderful bonus
💙 Someone who enjoys a good game of tug-of-war
💙 Patience and consistency while I learn basic commands and puppy manners
💙 A family committed to continuing my potty training
💙 Children who understand how to interact gently and safely with a young puppy
💙 Someone who respects that sometimes I'd rather play than cuddle
💙 A cozy lap waiting for me when my batteries finally run low
💙 Lots of laughter, love, and encouragement as I grow up
💌 A word from my foster:
"Dean is my independent puppy! He has absolutely no problem finding a toy and entertaining himself, but he also loves playing with the other dogs in the house, especially when there's a good game of tug-of-war involved.
He's definitely my little Energizer Bunny because he just keeps going! If he's busy playing and I pick him up, he'll moan and groan until I put him back down. And if I laugh at him while he's complaining, he'll actually talk back! He has such a funny little personality.
He's not much of a cuddler when he's in play mode, but once he finally slows down, he does enjoy sitting in my lap and spending time together.
Dean is still a baby and needs all his basic training. He currently uses pee pads in his playpen and also does well in a crate. He's a confident, sweet, playful little boy who could fit into just about any loving home, especially one where he has room to run around and be himself!"
I know I might not be your typical little lap puppy. 🥹💙
I'm independent, energetic, a little dramatic, and sometimes I have some VERY important opinions to share!
But that's what makes me… ME!
I'm the kind of puppy who will keep you laughing with my silly antics, entertain you with my endless adventures, and remind you that life is always a little more exciting when you have a playful best friend by your side.
And when the day is finally over, the toys have been put away, and my little puppy batteries are running low?
That's when I'll be ready to climb into your lap and enjoy a little love.
I might act like I have everything figured out, but I'm still just a baby looking for someone to teach me, guide me, and love me forever.
All I need is a family who will embrace my personality, give me room to grow, and appreciate the funny little guy I am!
If you're looking for a confident, independent, hilarious little puppy with endless energy, a love for tug-of-war, and just the right amount of sass… I'm your Dean! 🐾💙🐶
