Story
Meet me at 348 Old Colony Rd. Eastford, CT Meet Highlights, a 34‑lb lovebug who thinks laps were invented specifically for her. If you sit, she sits. If you pet, she melts. Her love language is physical affection and she delivers it with enthusiasm. She came in with another dog and has been a total star in playgroups — friendly, social, and just genuinely happy to be part of the fun. When she arrived, her skin was a little yeasty and sad, but with some TLC it is looking better already. A good diet and some time will have her looking amazing. If you’re looking for a sweet, people-loving companion, Highlights is your girl. Due to MA Dept of Agriculture restrictions, we can not adopt to MA residents.

Story
Meet me at 348 Old Colony Rd. Eastford, CT Rusti is a super affectionate 50lb girl, with a strong desire of making herself into a lap dog. She came from a house with multiple other dogs and does very well with them. She was a little nervous in the beginning but she adjusts very quickly and and her desire to be with you wins her over all the time. She **adores** people. She can climb a chainlink fence to be with you so stockade fences or an unfenced yard is best for her! Due to MA Dept of Agriculture restrictions, we can not adopt to MA residents.

Story
Meet Scooby and Brandy! These two senior pups came in together but don't seem extremely bonded and could be separated to each go to their own perfect family. Brandy is a little shy at first but warms up in no time, she's low energy, sweet, and has the cutest curly whiskers that we've ever seen. Scooby has a touch of anxiety and absolutely loves his people. They have not lived with kids or cats before, but they may be able to do well with older, savvy, and gentle children in the home who know how to respect their space at first. As senior dogs, Scooby and Brandy should receive routine medical care to help them feel healthy, loved, and spoiled throughout their golden years. Brandy and Scooby are currently in foster care, if you are interested in meeting them or have any questions, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email foster@parl.org to schedule an appointment.

Story
Daisy is an almost 5-year-old Jackapoo (Jack Russell + Poodle mix) with the sweetest personality you'll ever find. She is affectionate, smart, and incredibly loving — she thrives on attention and genuinely wants to be by your side. **What makes Daisy special:** - Highly intelligent and very trainable — she responds beautifully to positive reinforcement - Gets along well with other dogs - Not a big barker - Loves people, especially older men (she has a soft spot for them!) - Sweet, loyal, and full of personality **A home where Daisy will thrive:** Daisy does best with someone who has time to give her attention and light daily activity. She can get energetic, but that energy is easily channeled with consistent training and engagement — which she picks up on quickly. She does shed, so a family comfortable with that is ideal. Daisy has been so loved since day one. Life circumstances have changed — a new marriage, a toddler, an apartment that doesn't allow dogs

Story
Meet Kaylee, a super senior Cairn Terrier with a bright spirit and plenty of charm. She is currently sporting a bit of a silly haircut after her coat needed to be shaved due to matting, but her beautiful coat will grow back in no time.Kaylee is a smart, engaging girl who enjoys meeting new people. She can be a little cautious with handling at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and playful personality shines through. At the shelter, she has been both quiet and surprisingly bouncy, showing she still has plenty of life and curiosity to share. She has lived with other dogs and may do well with a respectful canine companion. Kaylee recently had dental care and is feeling much better as she looks ahead to her next chapter. While she still has plenty of energy, Kaylee would do best in a home that can offer her a soft place to land, with patience, walks, kindness, and understanding as she settles in. Kaylee needs work on housetraining and doesn`t want to live with children. If you are looking to give a deserving senior a loving retirement, Kaylee is ready to meet you. If you are interested in adopting Kaylee, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm during our walk in hours. If you are unable to come during walk in times, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to check what other times/days may be available by appointment.

Story
The One-Year-Old Jack Russell Mix Who Has More Energy Than Your Entire Family Combined Ralphie arrived on this earth with one singular mission: to do everything, at full speed, with maximum enthusiasm, ideally with you right there beside him. This one-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix is the definition of all-in. Play fetch? All in. Cuddle on the couch? All in. Burrow under the blankets and press his entire body against yours like a small, warm, wiggling furnace? Absolutely, completely, non-negotiably all in. 🐾 Ralphie is your perfect shadow - Wherever you go, whatever you do, Ralphie would like to be involved. He's not needy. He's just dedicated to the concept of you. 🐾 Tennis balls. Squeaky toys. Fetch. Running. More running. Then a little more running. Ralphie could run circles around you all day and honestly probably will. He is a one-dog cardio program. 🐾 When the energy has finally been spent, Ralphie will find you, locate the nearest blanket, tunnel underneath it like a tiny heat-seeking missile, and cuddle up as close as physically possible. The transition from feral energy gremlin to world's sweetest snuggle bug is genuinely impressive. 🐾 He is house trained ✅ He sits ✅ He lays down ✅ He is currently workshopping his leash walking skills — a work in progress, but we have confidence in his trajectory. 🐾 He's looking for a one-dog household — he's not a fan of other dogs, and frankly, he doesn't see why he should have to share you with anyone. Ralphie is not the dog for someone who wants to sit still. He's the dog for the family that hikes, runs, plays, and then collapses together on the couch at the end of the day in a happy, exhausted heap. He'll keep up with your kids, outlast your fetch arm, and still have enough left in the tank to burrow under your blanket and remind you that he is, at his core, a very good boy who just wants to be close to his people. If you are interested in finding out more about Ralphie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Ralphie is being fostered in Woburn, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
