Meet Apollo, a tender-hearted guy who is ready to find his forever teammates. He might start off a little shy, but once he’s comfortable, his true, playful colors shine bright!    Why You’ll Fall for Apollo: • The Ultimate Playmate: Apollo is a social butterfly with other dogs! He loves having a furry "mentor" to show him the ropes and keep him company during yard zoomies. • Brainy & Brisk: This boy is as smart as they come. He’s already a pro at commands and is currently "enrolled" in Fetch 101. If you're looking for a dog who loves to learn, he’s your guy! • Perfectly Polite: Forget the stress of training the basics—Apollo is already house-trained, crate-trained, and a dream on a leash. • Snuggle Champion: After a day of frisbees and tug-of-war, Apollo’s favorite place to be is curled up right next to you for some well-deserved belly rubs.    The Ideal Forever Home: Apollo is looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life take a little time. With a bit of grace and a lot of love, he will transform into the most loyal, curious, and sweet companion you could imagine. "Apollo is a gentle, tender-hearted soul who, with a little time and patience, will make a wonderful addition to his forever home." Ready to add a little more love (and a lot of tail wags) to your life? Apollo is waiting for you!   Woof! I’m Apollo, and I’m Ready to Be Your Best Friend!  Hi there, happy humans! I’m Apollo, and I’m on a very important mission: finding a family to call my own. For a long time, the shelter was the only world I knew. But lately, I’ve been living in a real home, and let me tell you—it is paws-itively amazing! I’m not quite sure how I got overlooked before; I mean, have you seen my silky coat? It’s perfect for petting!  A Little Bit About Me: Slow and Steady: I can be a little shy when we first meet. New things are big and exciting, but sometimes a bit scary! If you’re willing to take things slow and let me sniff out the situation, I promise it’s worth the wait. The "Bouncy" Reveal: Once I know I’m safe and loved, my true self comes out! I’m talkin’ zoomies, bounces, and a whole lot of playfulness. * The Ultimate Snuggler:I have a mountain of love stored up in this heart of mine. Whether it's a walk in the park or a movie night on the couch, I just want to be by your side.  What I’m Dreaming Of: I’m looking for a "forever" kind of love. If you have a patient heart and a cozy spot for me to curl up, we might just be the perfect match. I promise to pay you back in wagging tails and lifelong loyalty. "I’m just a gentle soul looking for a human to lead the way. Could that be you?" Ready to start our adventure together? Please fill out an application so we can finally meet! May 31, 2026, 10:00 am

Name: Hades  Age: Puppy (DOB: 6/19/25)  Gender: Male  Breed: Wirehaired Fox Terrier Mix  Weight: 35 lbs  Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Testing available upon request Child friendly: Yes House trained: Yes, puppy learning with routine  Crate trained: Yes  Energy level: Moderate, loves to play   Temperament: Social, friendly, playful  Requirement: Not rental appropriate; companion dog in the home Adoption Fee: $400+tax To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html Meet Hades!  Hades is a sweet, playful pup who is settling into foster life beautifully and gaining confidence every day. He loves being around other dogs and really thrives with canine friends to help show him the ropes, making him a great candidate for a home with another dog. Hades currently lives with two elementary-aged children and a high schooler. Once he’s comfortable, he adores kids and happily shares kisses and playtime. He’s still learning not to jump when he gets excited, but he responds well to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. This observant boy is still building trust with humans and does best when people move at his pace—getting down to his level, speaking softly, and giving him time to warm up. Once that trust is built, his affectionate and playful personality truly shines. Potty training is going well with only a few minor accidents. Hades is crate-trained and goes in and out comfortably, often choosing to relax there with the door open. He’s still gaining confidence exploring new areas of the home, but he especially enjoys hanging out in the kitchen. Hades doesn’t mind wearing a collar or even a little jacket. He’s still adjusting to his harness and leash, but he does great in a fenced yard—where he loves running laps, especially in the snow! He’s an active pup who will benefit from regular exercise, playtime, and mental enrichment. Toys are a big hit, especially squeaky ones! He’s learning that toys are better than socks and responds well to “no” and “drop it.” Hades is very food-motivated, which helps him learn quickly and makes training a fun experience for everyone. Hades will thrive in a patient, active home ready to help him continue building confidence and discovering the world. About Me (from Hades): Hi! I’m Hades. I feel bravest when I have dog friends around—they help me learn and feel safe. I like kids too, and once I trust you, I’ll give you lots of kisses! I feel best when my humans get down on my level and talk to me softly. I might be shy at first, but once we’re friends, I’m playful, loving, and always happy to be by your side. I’m learning lots of new things like going potty outside, sitting, and keeping all four paws on the floor. I love my toys, especially squeaky ones, and I really love treats—they help me learn fast! I’m still getting used to my harness, but once I’m outside, I’m ready to explore. I can’t wait to grow and learn with a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.      March 15, 2026, 12:05 pm
