Story
(DOB 03/22/2020)  Meet Chase: Professional Snuggler, Fetch Enthusiast & Absolute Heart Stealer  If you’ve been looking for a dog who will play like a puppy, love you with his whole heart, and then happily spend the afternoon snoozing beside you, Chase may just be your guy. At 6 years old, Chase has truly mastered the art of balance. He gets a few adorable bursts of playful energy throughout the day—especially if there’s a ball involved! —but once playtime is over, he is more than happy to settle in for a long nap near his favorite people. And when we say Chase loves his people, we mean LOVES his people. Of all the dogs we’ve fostered, Chase may be the snuggliest. He absolutely melts into affection and seems happiest when he’s close to his humans, soaking up every bit of love he can get—and returning it tenfold. He’s incredibly sweet, easy to please, and has an almost endless supply of affection to give.  A few reasons Chase is such a catch:  6 years old — past the puppy chaos, but still playful and active Perfectly house trained — he has never had an accident in our home Fetch fanatic — one of his favorite ways to burn off those little bursts of energy Champion napper — once the fun is over, he’s thrilled to lounge near his humans Smart & eager to learn — Chase picks things up quickly and is VERY motivated by treats World-class snuggler — seriously, this boy could make cuddling an Olympic sport Dog-friendly — he’d especially enjoy a similarly sized, playful canine buddy Cat-approved — Chase has learned how to peacefully share his home with feline friends Adventure ready — he loves walks and is continuing to work on his leash manners Chase would love a fenced yard where he can play, although his favorite place will probably still be wherever you are. And if you’re a runner looking for a future four-legged training buddy, we have a feeling Chase would be VERY excited to apply for the position.  What makes Chase truly special, though, isn’t any one thing on this list. It’s the way he loves. He is the kind of dog who makes you feel adored. He wants to be part of your world, curl up beside you at the end of the day, and remind you—with his whole wiggly, snuggly self—that you are his favorite person. Chase isn't asking for much: some playtime, a comfy place to nap, treats for being the very good boy that he is, and humans who will love him as fiercely as he will love them. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, get you outside, warm your couch, and absolutely overflow your home with love, Chase is waiting to meet you.  Come meet him.  Just be warned: he’s very, very easy to fall in love with!  As part of Chase’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Chase, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2695926##
