*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Total Adoption Fee: $695 This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $300 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits—such as non-shedding coats or popular breeds—help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, dogs with traumatic injuries, and those requiring heartworm treatment (i.e. dogs who require more intensive medical treatment and care prior to adoption). Your generosity makes this possible! Just wait until you meet Fiona! This little girl is a perfect mix of puppy playfulness and sweet cuddles. As an older puppy she’s quick to learn and very food/treat motivated. Fiona is great with her foster’s resident dog, who is almost twice her size. She loves to play with him but is also content with a dog toy to keep herself entertained. This smartypants has caught on to leash walks pretty quickly. She was curious about other people/dogs but doesn’t pull or bark. Fiona did great with her foster’s toddler. She liked to give her kisses but wasn’t too jumpy or rough at all. She’s easy to redirect with a chew toy if she gets into any of the toddler toys. Fiona would do great with another dog in the home, but if not would probably do fine as long as she gets that extra attention from her people. She likes to stay close by to keep an eye on everyone. If you’re looking for a pup with lots of love to give, Fiona is your girl!

Story
(DOB 07/22/2023) Sweetie truly lives up to her name. She is a calm, gentle soul with the sweetest disposition, and you may never even hear her bark! She enjoys spending time relaxing in the backyard. Car rides are her absolute jam. Sweetie gets along well with people and other respectful dogs. Her experience with cats is unknown. She is naturally on the shy side and may retreat when first approached. Because of her sensitive nature, Sweetie would do best in a home with a calmer, more predictable rhythm. Once she feels safe, she loves curling up on the sofa and happily accepts affection. She does not require a crate and can be left alone for several hours without any accidents or mischief. She is fully house-rained. Sweetie enjoys stuffed toys but has no interest in chewing shoes or household items. Do you have a nice yard with a 5ft+ fence, awesome! Sweetie is definitely looking for that in her forever home. She needs that little bit of "privacy" for her potty breaks as she is a lady after all. She is not a fan of going potty when out walking on a leash. She would do well with gentle, respectful children and enjoys quietly watching the woods from the backyard fence before breaking into joyful sprints around the yard. With her gentle nature and loving heart, this beautiful girl is truly a Sweetie in every sense of the word. As part of Sweetie’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Sweetie, you can complete an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2606970##
