*** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Total Adoption Fee: $695 This includes our standard adoption fee of $395 plus an additional required $300 tax-deductible donation. Why the additional donation? Dogs with highly desirable traits—such as low-shedding coats and popular breeds—help us fund lifesaving care for dogs who need it most, including nursing moms, imaging and surgeries for dogs with traumatic injuries, and medications for those requiring lifesaving heartworm treatments. Your generosity makes this possible! Stephen is a sweet, playful ball of energy. He is a younger dog who loves playing with his ball and gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs. In fact, he would likely do best in a home with another dog buddy to keep him company. Here are a few more details about his personality and care: - Training: He seems to be potty trained when kept on a routine and walks well on a leash, though he prefers shorter walks unless he has another dog with him. He goes into his crate quietly, but it is not his favorite place. - Behavior: He is still in a chewing phase but is easily redirected with a Nyla bone. He currently does not recognize basic commands and needs continued work with the word "no." - Diet: He prefers kibble over canned food and isn't interested in common human treats like cheese or hot dogs. However, he takes medicine easily when hidden in peanut butter. - Quirks: Watch your morning cup—Stephen loves coffee! Overall, he is a wonderful companion who just needs a little bit of guidance and a friend to play with.
