You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hi, I’m Nala… I was born right here at the 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue Ranch. My mom was so brave — she came here scared and unsure, and just a short time later, she brought me and my brothers and sisters into the world. The nice humans at the Ranch made sure we were warm, safe, and loved from the very beginning. Now, most of my siblings have gone off to their forever homes. I still wait here, watching families come and go, hoping one day someone will stop and see me. I’m not a baby anymore, but I still have so much love to give. I dream of having my own family to curl up with at night… a place to call my very own.  Requiremnets: Fenced Yard, Another dog       Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Hi there… my name’s Dexter. One day I had a family — and then suddenly, I didn’t. My people brought me and my best friend, rufus to the shelter and said they couldn’t keep us anymore. I didn’t understand why. I watched them walk away, and no matter how long we waited, they didn’t come back. Now were with 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue, and they promised that we will stay together in  our next home. I’m a sweet loyal boy who loves playing. I’ll be your best friend, your shadow, and the reason you smile every day  Requiremnts: Fenced yard Bonded with RufusVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. My name is Mufassa and I was born at the rescue ranch.  My mommy was part of the 148 hoarding case and she was VERY pregnant with me and my siblings when she came.  So we were lucky to be born right here at the ranch surrounded by people to love us! Mom says we deserve a fenced yard cause that is what we are used to and have a blast!!!  We also we only go to a home that has another dog our size to play with OR you could take 2 of us and then we can play with each other :)   Don't believe that don't get sibling stuff we are great together now Widdle and Squirt are NOT so good with each other and mom says they will NOT be spending their lives together LOL If you are interested in meeting me or any of my siblings, Nala, Simba, Squirt or Widdle just fill out an application and we can see which one of us is the right fit or if you have another loyal friend we hope you will let them pick who they want to share their lives with cause lets face it we will be spending more time together than we will with you so it should be the "right fit" :) See ya later I'm off to chase some pups around the field!!! PS mom says don't take the breed thing to seriously she has no way of knowing what we are but there wasn't a drop down button for "pure cuteness"!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Story
Meet Lizzie, a resilient survivor with the softest coat and the sweetest heart. Lizzie’s story began behind a Piggly Wiggly in Camden, AL, where she and her friends Buster and Belle were struggling to survive. Severely emaciated, covered in ticks and fleas, and frightened by the busy world around her, Lizzie’s chances looked slim. But with rescue, safety, and care, she blossomed into a healthy, happy pup. Now her true personality shines. Lizzie is endlessly snuggly and sweet, the kind of companion who loves nothing more than curling up close. Her short coat is silky soft, and her gentle nature makes her a joy to be around. Lizzie has made a full recovery and is thriving, but her heart still beats strongest when she’s near her best friend Buster. Ideally, these two inseparable companions would find a home together, where they can continue their journey side by side. If you’re ready to open your heart to a loving, resilient pup (or maybe even two), Lizzie is waiting to meet you.
