Weighing in at 18 pounds, this Chinese Crested–Terrier mix is the perfect combination of calm, charm, and quiet companionship—with the most regal ears you’ve ever seen! Daisy Mae has lived in a loving home her entire life, but sadly, her humans have both passed away. Now she’s ready for her next chapter with someone who wants to love and be loved in return. Daisy Mae is housebroken, leash trained, and currently brushing up on her basic commands like sit, stay, and come. She rarely barks unless there’s a good reason, and her non-shedding coat makes her low-maintenance on the grooming front. She enjoys the company of other dogs and is wonderfully patient with children. While she’s not a high-energy pup, Daisy Mae does love a bit of playtime—especially with canine pals—before settling into her preferred state: gentle relaxation near her person. Story
Introducing Baxter, a sweet fawn-colored Chug (chihuahua/pug). Baxter is five years old and weighs about 11 pounds. His temperament is very sweet and laid back, but he does get very excited with balls and playing fetch. It’s the cutest thing to watch! Baxter rarely barks, so he would be a perfect dog for an apartment. He currently lives with dogs and cats, and gets along with both. Baxter enjoys walking on the leash; he has good leash skills and does not pull. He has no health issues, has a good appetite, and is not a picky eater. Baxter is about 95% housebroken, and does his business outside on his walks. (He has an occasional accident if his foster mom is gone for an extended period of time.) Baxter is just an all around great dog and would make the perfect pet as the only dog or in a house with other pets.

Story
Meet Valerie! Referred to as Cher by her foster mom, she is an adorable tiny 8-9 pound chihuahua mix. This sweet and loving girl was aged as 6-7 by the shelter, but we think she's closer to 4 years old. Valerie was abandoned and rescued on the day she was going to be put down. The shelter said she was snappy. Poor Valerie was just terrified at the scary shelter. Naturally shy, little Valerie will need time to decompress with her new family and will let people pet her after about three or four days. Valerie should be in an adult only house since she is very timid and fearful. Once she feels trust, she will be on your lap constantly. She loves to play with other dogs, is reliably housebroken, and loves going on walks. What's not to love?
