Meet Valerie! Referred to as Cher by her foster mom, she is an adorable tiny 8-9 pound chihuahua mix. This sweet and loving girl was aged as 6-7 by the shelter, but we think she's closer to 4 years old. Valerie was abandoned and rescued on the day she was going to be put down. The shelter said she was snappy. Poor Valerie was just terrified at the scary shelter. Naturally shy, little Valerie will need time to decompress with her new family and will let people pet her after about three or four days. Valerie should be in an adult only house since she is very timid and fearful. Once she feels trust, she will be on your lap constantly. She loves to play with other dogs, is reliably housebroken, and loves going on walks. What's not to love?

Lando enjoys the company of other dogs and will play with them on occasion. He is very treat-motivated and barks excitedly when he hears the treat bag. Lando has a very deep bark, not at all like a yappy Chihuahua. He is generally quiet unless he gets excited about going outside or getting a treat. Lando loves cuddling next to his person on the couch. He is housebroken, friendly, and we believe he would be good with children

While Mo is a bit skidish at first, once he warms up Mo is incredibly sweet and won’t leave your side. He loves soft surfaces and sun bathing.

Are you looking for a sweet, happy, 7-year-old, 11-pound gremlin who is crate-trained, house-trained, and hilarious? Meet Rio! Rio came to me as an emergency foster when the family he had been with since birth could no longer keep him. He has since gotten all of his shots and a clean bill of health! Rio emerges from his crate (where he sleeps quietly all night) with enthusiasm every morning. He loves to be outside where he is mostly content to roll around in the grass, sunbathe, trot around, and bark at squirrels. He loves car rides! Rio is pretty independent, and also gets along well with my 20-lb dog. He is not food aggressive or resource guarding. He likes to sit with his people, and he checks in with us frequently throughout the day. He also walks on his hind legs with when he’s interested in what is on the table, which is highly entertaining! Rio has maintained his joy amidst what must be a frightening time for him. Rio deserves the best forever home!

Bentley enjoys saying hi to other dogs on his walks and is currently doing great with another foster dog in the home. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained but currently sleeps without a crate and does just fine. Bentley loves couch cuddles and being by your side. He doesn’t need a yard and would be happy as the only dog, as long as he gets some playtime with dog friends. Bentley is good on the leash and enjoys walking. (At almost fourteen pounds, he is a little plump and could use a few walks!) Bentley prefers a home without cats, unless they are good with dogs. He’ll thrive with someone who can give him regular exercise and lots of love and belly rubs. Bentley is easygoing, has a winning smile, and is ready to be your best friend!
