She can be very scared at first and needs time, patience, and a calm environment to build trust. New people and situations are overwhelming for her, but with gentle handling and a slow approach, her true personality begins to shine.Once she feels safe, she transforms into the sweetest little companion—her favorite place in the world is curled up in her person’s lap, soaking up quiet affection and warmth. She bonds deeply with her chosen human and will happily snuggle for hours, offering soft kisses and loyal companionship.She’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she can move at her own pace and blossom into the loving lap dog she’s meant to be. For the right person willing to give her time and kindness, she’ll be an incredibly devoted and loving best friend.If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours).If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment.
