Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Chihuahua Mix Male (neutered) - Adult Looking for that smart, funny guy that can go anywhere and considers new adventures the very best thing in life?  Just pick up a leash and Ace starts dancing around ready to roll. And speaking of rolling, rolling around on the couch or in bed is probably his second most favorite thing to do.  So expect to share both with him and expect to laugh. Treats can also be used to persuade him in to learning cute tricks and are expected when he heads to his crate because that's what a good boy does. Want a dance partner, Ace is your guy. He can do the best little hind leg twirling. He also does love to give soft kisses and snuggles and his coat is so soft, who wouldn't want to snuggle with him. He also watches and is incredibly smart, he may think he is a bit human too.  Ace is a 2-3 years old chihuahua/spitz mix who is fully vetted. Crate trained but not his favorite thing and remember the treat. Potty trained, set ground rules about marking when he enters his new environment and he is smart so knows its not allowed. He has a voice and is not a barker but probably not the best for an apartment. Ace is good with canine family members (a little loud when he plays).  Cats are ok too.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Introducing, Gus Gus! Gus Gus is a year old and 8 lbs. He was surrendered with several other Chinese Crested type dogs from what we believe was a backyard breeding situation. Gus Gus is a social butterfly and total lovebug. If you have a lap, Gus Gus is your new best friend! He wants nothing more than to hang out on the couch and watch TV with his human. He doesn't understand walking on leash yet, but he is learning and will get it with time. If you are looking for a wonderful little companion, Gus Gus is your boy! *Gus Gus is neutered, up to date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Introducing, Angelina! Angelina is about 3 years old and 10 lbs. Angelina came to us with several other small Chinese Crested dogs who were sadly being bred. Despite her background, Angelina is a very sweet girl! Angelina is a true lapdog. She loves being with her person and will follow you wherever you go! She's currently in a foster home with other dogs and has done well with them. She is learning how to walk on leash and all about indoor living.
