And speaking of rolling, rolling around on the couch or in bed is probably his second most favorite thing to do.  So expect to share both with him and expect to laugh. Treats can also be used to persuade him in to learning cute tricks and are expected when he heads to his crate because that's what a good boy does. Want a dance partner, Ace is your guy. He can do the best little hind leg twirling. He also does love to give soft kisses and snuggles and his coat is so soft, who wouldn't want to snuggle with him. He also watches and is incredibly smart, he may think he is a bit human too.  Ace is a 2-3 years old chihuahua/spitz mix who is fully vetted. Crate trained but not his favorite thing and remember the treat. Potty trained, set ground rules about marking when he enters his new environment and he is smart so knows its not allowed. He has a voice and is not a barker but probably not the best for an apartment. Winter came from a hoarding situation, so she missed the class on How to Dog 101. She’s kind of… let’s say… socially awkward and deeply suspicious. Meet Oreo! -Oreo is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 lbs. We think he looks like a Chihuahua/Scruffy Terrier Mix (Just a Guess). Oreo came to Canines & Kitties from a hoarding situation. He is a very shy and timid dog who will require time and patience when he moves to his forever home. Oreo is learning to trust and has come a long way in his foster home in just a week. Oreo will need a calm and quiet environment as he learns that life isn't so scary. Oreo will need a home with another small (25 lbs and under) and confident dog. Oreo will also require a secured fenced in yard as he is a flight risk at the moment. We feel this will subside over time as he settles in. Oreo is house trained and sleeps in the bed at night with his foster mom and the resident dog. Oreo is respectful and has wonderful house manners. He does not need to be crated. Ralph came from a very sad situation with a backyard breeder where he was used for breeding and horribly neglected. Ralph does great with other dogs but is scarred of new people and it is taking some time for him to learn to trust humans so he is anxious around people including children. He still flinches when touched. He is making progress on house training. He will need someone who has experience dealing with very skittish dogs and has a great deal of patience and also a very secure fenced yard. He is a joy, very calm and quiet. He is not overwhelmed by the other 5 dogs in the foser home. He seems to be housebroken and sleeps all night in his crate. He loves to be held and cuddled. Ziggy was evaluated by a veterinarian and was diagnosed with unknown neurological issue that effect his gait and his vision. He is young and healthy otherwise. He is currently on a dose of steroids to see if inflammation can be exacerbating any of the symptoms. We will be having him seen at a vet soon for possible vision impairment and to evaluate his gait.
