Story
Meet Endora – A Gentle Girl with a Love for Soft Things 📍 Located in Troy, MO 💻 Applications at leiashope.org Endora is a little lady learning what it's like to live in freedom after spending her early life in a puppy mill. She’s shy at first, but once she warms up, she politely asks for affection and enjoys quiet companionship. Her foster has established a mealtime routine that works perfectly for her—when she hears the call, Endora happily runs upstairs to the bedroom where her bowl is placed just inside the door. This quiet, uninterrupted space is where she feels most comfortable eating. She has a healthy appetite, is a good eater, and is currently on Puppy Fromm. She eats twice a day, with a little extra to support her growing puppy needs. Endora is a big fan of soft comforts—she loves her open-door kennel filled with fluffy blankets and can often be found lounging in cozy dog beds. After spending her early life on a hard kennel floor, she’s finally learning what comfort feels like. She gets along well with other dogs and is watching them closely to learn how to play and enjoy toys. With a little more time and encouragement, she’ll be joining in on the fun! 📝 Requirements: Secure physical fenced yard Another young, confident dog in the home No children under 12 Mill dogs like Endora are under-socialized and easily startled by things we take for granted—leashes, television sounds, garbage trucks, kitchen appliances, etc. She will need a patient and understanding home willing to help her continue adjusting at her own pace. 🐾 Endora is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. 💲 Adoption fee: $500 📍 Located in Troy, MO 💻 Applications at leiashope.org Please Note: Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run rescue. Application processing takes 7–10 business days depending on our availability and your references. All dogs are in foster homes—there is no central facility. Meet and greets are scheduled only after an approved application. We do not ship or transport. Adopters must travel to the dog’s location, and all family members and current pets must be present. Dogs are a lifetime commitment. Puppies, in particular, may live 15+ years. If you're not prepared to commit to that, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where someone is frequently home, can provide proper training and socialization, and keep up with their energy and needs.

Story
**Jonagold** 3-Month-Old Male Miniature Poodle 📍 Location: Troy, MO Meet Jonagold — affectionately known as Jon! 🍎 This handsome little Poodle boy was born in a puppy mill and is now experiencing the comforts of home life for the very first time. Despite his rough start, Jon is a sweet and affectionate pup who just wants to be part of the fun. He’s being fostered with smaller puppies — and while one sassy little girl likes to boss him around, Jon takes it all in stride and joins happily in the play. Poodles are smart, loyal, and active family dogs, and Jon is no exception. His soft, curly coat is one of the best options for people with mild allergies, but it requires consistent care — professional grooming at least every six weeks and frequent brushing to keep him looking his best. We’re seeking an active home for Jon — ideally one with children or a playful young dog to keep him company. He is microchipped and current on age-appropriate vaccines (future boosters at the adopter’s expense). Jon is not yet neutered due to his age; Leia’s Hope covers a portion of the cost if the procedure is completed between 6–9 months. **Adoption Fee:** $550 Applications at [leiashope.org](https://leiashope.org) Leia’s Hope is a volunteer-run rescue. Applications take 7–10 business days to process. Approved application required before meet-and-greet (all family members and dogs must attend). Adopters must travel to the dog’s location; no transport or cargo flights. 🐾 Puppies like Jon are a lifetime commitment — often 15+ years. In the event of an adopter’s passing or inability to keep the dog, he must return to Leia’s Hope.
