Story
Nugget – Yorkie Poo (DOB: 8/27/2019) I'm heartbroken to rehome Nugget because I'm pregnant, and he is not comfortable around babies or children. He needs an adult-only home. Nugget does best as the only dog. He lives with 4 cats and generally does well, though he may resource guard around certain cats (no biting). He bonds more easily with men than women. He has bitten me before, but only when I've pushed past his boundaries, so he needs someone who understands dog body language and will respect his space. He hates grooming but does well with his regular groomer after trazodone and gabapentin. Grooming is about $90. I think he may benefit from discussing daily anxiety medication with a veterinarian. I'm looking for an experienced, patient owner who can give him the calm, child-free home he deserves.

Story
❤️ Meet Sampson — A Little Guy with a BIG Personality! ❤️ Looking for a fun, affectionate little companion to fill your life with love and laughter? Meet Sampson! This adorable 11–12-month-old Yorkie/Dachshund mix is full of energy, sweetness, and that irresistible Yorkie personality! Sampson had a rough start in life, arriving at the shelter as a puppy with a severe case of demodex. Thankfully, he received treatment and found a home. Sadly, things didn’t work out as hoped. His adopter planned to take him along as a companion in her semi-truck, but he was instead left home alone for 12+ hours a day. Through no fault of his own, Sampson found himself back at the shelter, waiting for someone to give him the forever home he deserves. FHDR brought him to NJ to live in a foster home! ❤️ Sampson is friendly, outgoing, and full of life. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and people, and he absolutely loves children! He’s also crate-trained and has good potty habits. He keeps his kennel clean, follows a regular potty schedule, and knows how to let you know when he needs to go outside. Sampson is still just a pup, with so much love to give and so many happy memories waiting to be made. He deserves a family who will include him in their daily lives, give him plenty of attention, and make him a cherished member of the family. Could you be the one to give Sampson his happily-ever-after? He’s ready to leave his shelter days behind and start his next chapter with a family who will love him forever. Please consider opening your heart and home to this adorable little guy! 🐾❤️ If you have a furever home for this pet, please e-mail Furever Home Dog Rescue at FureverHomeDogRescue@gmail.com and request an adoption application. The breed and age of this pet is listed as is our best guess. We have no background info on who the mom and dad are. Please note we do not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be left alone all day. We do not have a shelter facility you can visit. Our volunteers foster the dogs and pups in their homes once they have been vetted and transported here to FHDR. Please read our homepage FureverHomeDogRescue.com to read how the adoption process works and to read our many reviews. Thank you! ----------------------

Story
Kenzo’s a 2yo 14lb Yorkie/Poodle mix. He’s dog and kid friendly. He’s house and crate trained. He is good with a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks but will need continued training to not pull. He loves running around his fosters secure fenced in yard with another dog. He loves playing with chew toys, being with his people to get tons of belly rubs and give kisses. He’s energetic, playful, likes to sit on laps for pets and loves to play in water. He can be a barker when he hears noises or wants to go outside. When he gets excited and wants to play he can get mouthy and jump on people so will need to continue working on that. He has been said to dig holes in the yard so will be need to be watched. Kenzo’s foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, experienced dog people, another playful dog and/or active people to play with him, plenty of chew toys, keeping up on brushing and grooming him along with giving leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Kenzo as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Kenzo’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Riverton, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
