Story
Harley is a sweet 11 year old Yorkiepoo. He spends most of his days relaxing on the couch or in the sun. He has never had any health issues and is 100% house trained. He enjoys occasional play time and short walks a couple of times a day. He would be be perfect for an older person or couple looking for additional companionship. He can be shy and likes to bark at other dogs and people when he is out walking. He can be possessive of his toys and his people. Harley is an extremely loyal dog. This has been a very difficult decision for our family, but we want to give him many good years in a new home.

Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps.Please have patience. We do not have any paid staff members. Our adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. Meet Toto!!Sweet, shy Toto is looking for his forever home! We don't know much about his past but it's safe to say he did not have a lot of human interaction. He's been with me a few months now and has come such a long way! He gets along well with all my other dogs. He loves to be outside so a fenced in yard is ideal. He has been fully vetted and housebroken. Yay! We are working on leash training. It will take him a bit to warm up to strangers so please have patience. We are guessing that he is around 5 or 6 years old. He appears to be a terrier (possibly border terrier) mix. He has the cutest little underbite and Justin Bieber hair!
