Gary is a sweet, friendly little 10 year old Yorkie-mix who was found in deplorable condition as a stray and taken to the local shelter. Due to his age and condition, the shelter asked for assistance, so Misty Eyes brought him into our foster program to provide him treatment he needed. On intake, he was extremely dirty, flea-infested, anemic and malnourished. He has been on a regulated, nutritious diet to improve his condition and has been treated for a parasite induced skin infection. Gary tolerates other dogs and even cats, but does not interact with them. He will be grumpy if a dog tries to be playful with him. He is friendly to new people, but isn`t really a lap dog. He wants to be with his person/people, but prefers lounging in a doggy bed. He has good house manners if taken out on a regular basis to potty. Frankie may need a little extra time to get to know new people. He does best with gentle hellos and a bit of space to warm up. Once he’s feeling comfortable, his wiggly personality comes out! Frankie loves anything edible and is always happy to have a toy to toss around. We think he’d enjoy having a dog friend about his size. Come meet this special boy and see if he’s your match!

Meet Ruby. Little Ruby is a yorkipoo and weighs 11 lbs and is 11 months old. She is super sweet, but a little fearful of new things still.  Ruby loves the yard and playing outside. A new home with a fence and room to run would be ideal. She is nearly housetrained but may still need some work  with potty training in her new home, while she figures things out. Ruby is fine with other dogs and cats. Ruby has been spayed and microchipped, had a recent veterinary wellness visit and is fully vaccinated. We don't know how Ruby would do with children, but with her fearful nature older children might be best.
