Story
Meet Cottontail! He is about 11 months old. He has had his teeth cleaned and any retained baby teeth pulled. He is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, fecal tested (and negative), and heartworm/tick disease negative. These babies came from a commercial breeder and are nervous of people until they get more comfortable and can see people aren’t so scary. They are scared, but very sweet. Most things will be new to them as they haven’t had much human interaction up until this point. We have found they look to other dogs to learn, so at this time we are only looking for homes with another dog present and they are also flight risks as of right now, so fenced in yards are required. An approved adoption application is required. The $425 adoption fee (payable by cash or check only) includes spay/neuter; microchip; vaccinations; fecal w/ giardia testing, monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention . Our adoption application may be found by going to: www.headinhomerescue.org; then click on the link to the adoption application. Dogs for adoption may be seen by appointment only following an approved application. Proof of completion of an obedience class is required for all dogs following adoption. Please note: while we welcome out of state applications, we do not ship our animals and require adopters to come to Holland to finalize any adoption.May 5, 2025, 10:35 pm

Story
Meet Thumper!  Thumper is currently in a foster home. His foster mom reports he is doing well with all the humans, including children, in the home. He does become anxious if he is left alone or if he isn't near their dog. He is doing well with potty training if he goes outside with their other dog.
