Story
I adopted Buttercup at petland a few years ago. I paid over $6500 for her but to me she was worth it. She was potty trained for awhile and then started peeing and pooping everywhere. It seemed to get better and then she started it again.not sure why, I have 2 special needs kids and her bloodwork is perfect but shes been going all around the house and tearing some things up and not listening. Ive tried all I can even externally. I truly think she just needs a lot and I mean a whole lot of attention because she constantly wants it. We have a goldendoodle to but they are great together and I justunderstand why she does this. We give so much attention to them, and really take care of her. She lives kids. She’s good with other dogs but she needs to be able to have that attention that is high. She’s sweet, never bitten anyone, she loves squeaky toys and treats. I have constantly had to keep a diaper on her to, she won’t go in it though. Sleeps with top of kennel open

Story
** FEMALE ONLY HOME*** Lilo is a sweet girl who takes some time to warm up but is very sweet once she does. She currently lives with cats and dogs and does well with them but is not a huge player. She is crate trained and working on potty training and doing well. She would do best in a home with no kids.

Story
Meet Maggie & Jax – A Sweet Senior Duo Looking for Their Forever Maggie and Jax are a devoted, bonded pair with a story that tugs at the heart. These two were found as strays, huddled together under a picnic table at a remote campground in northern Missouri. Luckily, a kind-hearted couple who are full-time RVers noticed them while passing through. They took Maggie and Jax in, bathed them, treated them for fleas, kept them warm, and gave them the love and safety they so desperately needed. While searching for help, they found our rescue—where Maggie and Jax could receive proper care and, most importantly, a chance at a forever home. Our veterinarian estimates Maggie to be about 9 years old and Jax about 10 years old. Both have since been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are fully up to date on vaccinations. Due to neglect in their earlier years, each has only a few teeth left—but don’t let that fool you! These two are enthusiastic eaters and have absolutely no trouble enjoying their meals. Jax appears to be mostly Chihuahua, while tiny Maggie (just 9 pounds) likely has some Yorkie in her lineage. They currently live peacefully with their seven dachshund foster siblings and get along wonderfully. They are housebroken with regular potty breaks, have learned to use a doggy door, and will also use potty pads when needed. Maggie and Jax sleep comfortably in their crate overnight and do well crated for short periods when their foster parents are away. These two must be adopted together—they are truly inseparable. Jax takes his role as Maggie’s loyal protector very seriously, and the bond they share is both touching and unmistakable. Maggie and Jax are being fostered near St. Clair, MO. Their adoption fee is $300 for the pair. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving senior duo who will bring warmth, gratitude, and companionship into your life, Maggie and Jax may be the perfect match. Please submit your application to give these deserving sweethearts the forever home they’ve been waiting for. ❤️

Story
Charlie is a sweet 3-year-old guy who just needs a little time and patience to feel safe with new people. Once he trusts you, he becomes the most loyal companion—your shadow, your buddy, and your biggest fan. He’ll gladly follow you everywhere with his gentle devotion. Charlie is doing great with his potty training and loves spending time in a fenced yard, especially if there are squirrels to chase! He rides well in the car and would do fine either as the only dog or with another calm canine friend. He’s still working on his leash-walking skills and hasn’t shown interest in toys, but he makes up for it with his affectionate nature. Because he can be a barker, Charlie would not be a good fit for apartment living. He also needs a home without small children. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you deeply once he feels safe, Charlie might be the perfect match. All he needs is someone willing to give him the time and space to flourish. Charlie is neutered, up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and heart worm test, he is also dewormed and microchipped. Charlie’s adoption fee is $375.00

Story
This sweet Shih Tzu mix with beautiful, flowing hair is 2 years old and ready to find his forever home. Georgie is looking for an experienced owner with plenty of patience and understanding. He’s come from a challenging situation, so he needs someone who will give him the time and space to build trust at his own pace. He can be a little shy at first—especially around men—but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate side shines through. Georgie loves gentle ear and chin scratches and will happily soak up all the love you offer. He does great with other dogs and cats, and in the right environment, he would thrive with another dog of similar size to be his companion and playmate. Georgie requires a home with a fenced in yard and no young children. With the right person and a calm, supportive home, this special boy will blossom into a loyal and loving best friend. Georgie is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Georgie’s adoption fee is $350.00.
