Dori is a Yorkie mix, about 10 years old and 10 lbs. She is sweet, gentle, and happiest when she’s close to her people. Dori has a shy nature at first, but once she feels safe, she becomes a loyal cuddlebug who adores being petted and lounging next to her favorite humans! Dori's favorite activity is taking long, cozy naps in the same room as you. If Dori knows you’re nearby, she’s perfectly content. If she’s placed in a puppy pen in another room, though, she’ll politely (and persistently) let you know she’d rather be with you. Dori has no teeth, but don’t let that fool you: she has a healthy appetite and does just fine at mealtime. This little lady would thrive in a relatively quiet home and would be a wonderful match for someone who is retired or works from home. She’s the kind of dog who would happily nap beside you all day or curl up in your lap while you work. She previously lived with several small dogs and would do well with calm canine companions. She does prefer a little personal space around her food and water while she’s eating, so respectful dog siblings are best. She would likely be fine with cats as well. Older, gentle children who understand her small size would be just fine. Dori is mostly potty trained, with only a few accidents when she first came into rescue after her owner passed away. She goes potty on a leash and does well when her humans need to leave the house, settling calmly in her puppy pen. At night, she currently sleeps in a cozy dog bed inside her pen, but she would be more than happy to sleep in bed with her people if invited. Her coat is naturally longer than what you see in most of her photos. When she arrived in rescue, she had to be shaved due to matting, but you can see from her groomer photo how lovely her soft, longer coat will be as it grows back in. I adopted Buttercup at petland a few years ago. I paid over $6500 for her but to me she was worth it. She was potty trained for awhile and then started peeing and pooping everywhere. It seemed to get better and then she started it again.not sure why, I have 2 special needs kids and her bloodwork is perfect but shes been going all around the house and tearing some things up and not listening. Ive tried all I can even externally. I truly think she just needs a lot and I mean a whole lot of attention because she constantly wants it. We have a goldendoodle to but they are great together and I justunderstand why she does this. We give so much attention to them, and really take care of her. She lives kids. She’s good with other dogs but she needs to be able to have that attention that is high. She’s sweet, never bitten anyone, she loves squeaky toys and treats. I have constantly had to keep a diaper on her to, she won’t go in it though. Sleeps with top of kennel open

Rocco is a very handsome 3-year-old young man who was lucky enough to retire from a puppy mill. He is slowly discovering that humans bring good things, and little by little, he is learning to trust. Rocco has begun playing with toys and recently wagged his little tail for the first time—an exciting milestone! He is currently working on potty training, and continuing consistency will be important. Rocco gets along well with other dogs and would be happy either with a canine companion or as the only dog in the home. He is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time and love he needs to continue gaining confidence and blossoming into the wonderful dog he is meant to be.
