Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Mr. Bootsy is a great little companion dog that was found wondering the streets of San Antonio, Tx and he had been hit by a car, he was limping along.  After taking him to the vet, it was discovered that the car injury was an old break and could not be repaired.  I made the choice not to amputate the dangling leg because it does not get in his way or cause any problems or require any special care on a daily basis. Booty was microchipped and I spoke with the original owner who gave him to someone else who just did not want any dogs and set him free on the streets, pitiful but San Antonio resident pet owners are known for that.  Bootsy would love to have a forever loving home where he can get love and he has plenty of love to give back. He gets along with all of the foster dogs in my home and plays well with everyone.  He is completely potty/house and crate trained.  Bootsy is just a good boy.  He is 6 years old and weighs 10 pounds and has reached his adult weight and will not grow anymore.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick. If you are in San Antonio, TX or surrounding areas you are welcome to meet him anytime.  We market our pets across the United States and transport them to most areas every 2 weeks once adopted. If you are interested in adopting Bootsy please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. We got Mia as a puppy in a rescue situation. Mia is a sweet but anxious dog. I have been unable to properly house train her and now unfortunately don’t have the time to walk her and spend time with her the way she deserves. She would do best with owners who are home often as she has separation anxiety.

Story
Frankie was recently rescued from a NY Shelter where he was picked up as a stray. No one claimed him so DCAR was happy to bring him into our rescue. He was very matted when he was found and had to be shaved down. Frankie listens well, comes when he is called, loves to chase balls and curl up on your lap. He’s a sweet, cuddle bug. He is also doing great on house training. Frankie has settled in well at his foster home but he has developed house guarding issues. He does not like strangers coming into his space. He barks loudly and aggressively in an effort to scare people away. He recently saw a behaviorist for an evaluation and we will be working on correcting this behavior. He will need an adopter who is willing to continue his training and help him feel less anxious. Frankie would be great as an only dog but is good with other dogs too. Frankie's perfect home is a house that does not get a lot of visitors and no small children. Fence preferred but all applications will be considered. This dog is currently being fostered in Rochester, NY and cannot travel prior to adoption. Meet and greets available in the surrounding area only. Visitors welcome. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW! We currently adopt in the states of NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DE, and some areas in MD. We can not accept applications from other states at this time. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our adoption application which you can find on our website at www.dutchcountryanimalrescue.org/adopt.html Our adoption fees are on our application. All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped. We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs. We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
