Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Scrappy Doo’s adoption donation is $425 and he is being fostered in Central Ohio.  He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  He has also had a dental cleaning. Scrappy does require a secure, physically fenced yard. Scrappy Doo came into rescue when he was rescued by a Good Sam from a bad situation. He has made amazing progress in rescue. Scrappy had some serious injuries when he came into rescue which included a broken and badly infected jaw, which has healed. He does remain on a soft diet, but he says that is perfectly fine by him. Scrappy is a happy go lucky little fella who  loves to chase butterflies and ants, but he will run from fireflies. He loves to play with toys of all kinds and does like to cuddle them to sleep. Scrappy does great riding in a car and sometimes does like to be the copilot. He does well with housetraining if kept on a schedule. Scrappy enjoys the company of most everyone and loves to play but also loves to relax on the couch with his besties. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  September 28, 2023, 8:28 pm

Story
Miss MollyFemaleAge: 8 YearsWeight: 15 lbsBreed: Rat Terrier Mix Hi! I’m Miss Molly. My Foster mom says I am the sweetest dog she has ever met. I am a blind little lady, so other dogs scare me easily, so being the only dog in the home is preferable. I haven’t met any cats yet to know how I would do with those. I am not sure how I would do with kids either. Since I do scare easily, perhaps older kids who understand this would be best. I am house trained and crate trained as well and for my own safety, I do stay in a crate while you are away from me when you leave for work. I love to snuggle and sleep and I absolutely love people and pretty much just wanted to be petted and cuddled at all times. Oh, and one more thing, I am diabetic. This means, that for my heath, I need to follow my insulin regimen very closely. I also have a heart murmur and tracheal collapse which can be common in smaller dogs like me. I cannot wait to have a family of my own who is committed to taking care of me and giving me all the cuddles I deserve. If you are interested in meeting Miss Molly, apply to adopt at: www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $225 Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 12+ ##1771852##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Chief, the blonde Yorkie mix! This guy is about as adorable as they come. He was surrendered to DASH along with his companion Toto, when his owner was in a very bad car accident and was unable to care for him as he deserves. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and get scratches under his chin. He loves to be where his human is and follows his foster mom everywhere. He loves his squeaky toys/balls just like Toto does. He will literally play for hours. He does walk well on a leash. He has done well with his foster mom's dogs but has not been around cats or kids. He can sometimes get a little grumpy at mealtime and get in the other dog's food bowls which his foster mom is working on with him. He would do well with a doggie sibling in his new home, as he loves to play. He is working on using the doggie door at his foster's house. This boy is just one really great pup! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Toto the yorkie mix! This little man is full of energy and love! He was surrendered to DASH, along with his companion Chief, after his owner was in a very bad car accident and was unable to continue to care for him like he deserves. He has done well with all of his foster's dog. He loves loves loves squeaky toys, especially balls or anything that resembles a ball! He will play fetch for hours with one. Toto is a little shy and will bark when meeting new people and animals but will warm up once he gets to know you. He is working on using doggie stairs and a doggy door. He does go up and down regular stairs with ease, it's just actual doggie stairs onto a bed or couch that he has never used before. He is also working on leash manners. He tends to want to zigzag a lot, so we are working on correcting that. He would like to have a doggie brother or sister to play with, but he would probably do well as an only pet too. He has not been around cats or kids, and due to his size would recommend no smaller children. He is sure to be your shadow and does love to be around his human . Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Duchess had a rough life before meeting us. She was found as a stray covered in fleas, reeked of urine, and was very skinny but that doesn't let her spirit down! Duchess loves people and food (of course). She can be a little shy at first but once you have food then she will be your BFF in no time. Sweet Duchess will need to be fed a little extra, so she can gain all the weight she has lost. If she does not gain at least 1 pound by the time her booster shots are due, she will need bloodwork done to ensure nothing is medically wrong with her. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Duchess home. If you are interested in meeting Duchess, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
