His special abilities include: Leaping into your lap at super speed Melting hearts with a single soulful stare Detecting socks from anywhere in the house Providing emotional support during snack times When he’s not saving the day with cuteness, he enjoys a good bone, warm snuggles, car rides, and “helping” with everyday tasks. He adapts quickly to new spaces and brings a calming, joyful presence wherever he goes. What He’s Looking For Every superhero needs a sidekick! Casper is a true companion pup who wants to be part of the action. He’ll thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day, and he loves the company of friendly dogs and respectful kiddos. A fenced yard is not required—cape optional. &#226&#156&#168 Casper’s Super Stats House-trained and thriving on a routine (but keep in mind there will always be a transition period into any new home) Sleeps through the night in his crate (but will happily protect your bed, too) Healthy & strong—the vet said he’s one of the best she’s seen Medium energy: playful + cuddly = perfect balance Great with kids and dogs A+ eater: breakfast/dinner at 8 AM & 5 PM, polite at mealtimes White-noise lover so he can rest without being “on patrol” The Perfect Home for Casper Casper will shine in a home looking for a loyal shadow, a gentle cuddle buddy, and a pint-sized hero to adore. He has been neutered, microchipped, received his rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative on heartworm and started on prevention, as well as flea/tick prevention.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  December 6, 2025, 1:48 pm

What makes Edith Anne special: Independent but loving: She enjoys short cuddle sessions but also values her alone time Wonderfully house-trained: Uses a doggie door like a pro to access a secure yard Easy medication routine: Takes her medication willingly when crushed and mixed with soft food. Peacefully coexists: Tolerates other dogs well but would thrive as an only pet Charmingly quirky: Has her own cozy crate retreat with blankets, and she'll even close the door when she wants privacy – but always comes when called Edith Anne's ideal home: A family with a strong veterinary relationship to manage her heart condition Patient adopters who understand mature dog needs A quiet environment where she can be the center of attention People who appreciate an independent spirit with a loving heart This sweet girl has so much love to give and is ready to spend her golden years being cherished. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Say Hello to sweet Benny. This middle-aged Yorkie came to DASH after living his life in a rabbit cage. This boy is tiny at only 5 lbs. and he is totally blind, but that doesn't stop him. He has learned the set up at his foster home with ease and navigates the couple of steps in and out so he can enjoy being out in the fenced in back yard to go potty and to be with the other dogs in the home. He loves to nap on his foster moms lap and will follow her voice from room to room. He also likes to sleep on a soft blanket on the bed at night with his foster mom. He is not a big barker unless it's dinner time and then his little chirps let you know he's hungry! He has had a dental cleaning and has no other health issues other than his eyes. He gets along just fine with all of the other dogs in his foster home and also didn't seem to mind the grandkids when they visited, but due to his tiny size, we recommend children over the age of 8. He has not been cat tested, but feel he would probably be fine with them. He is ready and waiting for that soft spot in your heart and home to spend the rest of his life. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 17, 2025, 6:02 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Welcome Sparkler to DASH! This handsome little Yorkie/Papillon mix pup came to DASH with his siblings full of parasites so severe that required hospitalization to make sure he got a chance to survive. DASH, along with our great supporters, made sure he got that chance. He is now a healthy and happy puppy, who loves to play with both his siblings and his toys and loves attention. He is now in our DASH Prison Training Program. He is housebroken, crate trained and loves to take walks. He gets along well with other dogs but can be a little shy when he meets someone new. His trainer says, "Sparker is full of energy and ready to play. He is still in the puppy phase so you have to watch that he doesn't get ahold of small objects. Overall, Sparkler is a VERY HAPPY PUPPY". Sparkler is ready for his forever home. He has not been cat tested and due to his size, young children are not recommended. If you are interested in adoption, the first step in our process is to fill out an online application at https://dashrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2025, 9:45 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Marnie: A Little Princess Seeking Her Kingdom! Marnie is a sweet and lovable little lady who came into rescue as a stray and has blossomed in her foster home. This charming girl is ready to find her forever family and shower them with all her love! Marnie thrives on human attention and happily coexists with her canine foster sibling, most of the time. She's a pro at potty breaks, especially when kept on a consistent schedule, and has mastered the art of using potty pads. While she's not a marathon walker, she enjoys leisurely strolls around the block to sniff out the neighborhood news. Now, let's talk about Marnie's unique charm: she has a delightful, high-pitched voice that she uses to let you know when she can't find her people or when she's left alone. Because of this vocalness, Marnie isn't suited for apartment or condo living. She also takes her watchdog duties seriously, alerting you to any comings and goings! In her foster home, Marnie enjoys sharing a gated area with the resident dog during bedtime and when her humans are away, as she's not a fan of crate training (think opera-level protests!). What's Marnie looking for in a forever home? A calm and quiet environment with minimal social activity. Human(s) who are home often and ready to shower her with love and attention – she deserves to be treated like the princess she is! Ideally, a fenced yard or area, or a patient adopter willing to work with her on leash potty training. Someone who understands her medical needs and is committed to providing her with ongoing care. Applicants should have a strong veterinary history, demonstrating a commitment to preventative care and responsible pet ownership. Marnie's Journey: Since coming into rescue, Marnie has been diagnosed with paroxysmal movement disorder, which causes mild episodes lasting less than a minute. These episodes don't currently impact her quality of life, but her adopter will need to be prepared to monitor her condition and consult with a veterinarian regularly. Marnie currently sees a holistic vet for chiropractic and acupuncture treatments every 3-4 weeks and receives natural supplements to support her condition and help with her mild allergies. More About Marnie's Wonderful Personality: Marnie enjoys car rides (short trips are best!). She might also enjoy a companion dog of similar size and energy who likes a good chase and enjoys sharing soft toys, but she's also perfectly content being the only pampered pup in the home, as long as her people are homebodies. In her foster home she has thrived and enjoys all the attention she receives. Marnie is on special food and treats to help minimize her allergies and will require monthly grooming and baths to help keep her skin and coat in good condition. If you're searching for a devoted and unique companion, Marnie might just be your perfect match! Could you be the loving family to give this little princess her happily ever after? Marnie’s adoption donation is $425 and she is being fostered in Central Ohio.  She has been spayed, microchipped, received her rabies, distemper/parvo, bivalent canine influenza and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for heartworms and started on prevention, as well as flea prevention.  She has also had a dental cleaning. A fenced yard is preferred as she doesn't reliably potty on leash. Her forever home will need to have a strong veterinary history.
