Story
Meet Jose Caballero Amigo! He is currently 4 months old, and we think he may be a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix- a Chorkie!- but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Jose loves to be around people and a snuggler. He’s a fun little guy that knows what he wants and not afraid to ask for it. He currently lives in a home with cats, and small and large dogs. This little guys is very intelligent and continuously learning as the days go by— so much training potential. He loves to play in a backyard, but will need patience and exposure on a leash. Watch Jose's video here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RwnTwGDRg1g&feature=youtu.be Jose is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! He is a kissy sweet little boy. He is so soft and snuggly! Jose is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Jose's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/68026365927c1d05ab087c07 Please email cynthia@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1,600.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Meet Benny Breed: Maltese Poodle Mix Date of Birth: November 17, 2020 Gender: Male (Neutered) Weight: 15 pounds Personality Benny is a gentle and somewhat skittish Maltese Poodle mix who thrives best in a calm and understanding environment. With his reserved nature, he tends to observe the world from a distance, often preferring solitude or the company of a trusted few. While shy at first, Benny's heart is full of potential for love and loyalty, waiting to be unlocked by a patient and nurturing family. He is selective with his canine companions, enjoying the company of other dogs that match his calm demeanor. With the right support, Benny can blossom into a loving companion, though he may need guidance in socializing and building confidence. Breed Information Maltese Poodle mixes, often called "Maltipoos," are known for their charming and affectionate nature. Combining the gentle, loving personality of the Maltese with the intelligence and playfulness of the Poodle, these dogs are cherished for their adaptability and friendly demeanor. Maltipoos are typically low-shedding, making them a popular choice for those with allergies. They thrive on human interaction and require mental and physical stimulation to keep them happy and engaged. What to Expect As an owner of a Maltese Poodle mix like Benny, you can expect a devoted but initially reserved companion. Benny will thrive in a home where he receives plenty of love and patience. His intelligence means he's capable of learning new tricks and commands with positive reinforcement, though he may require extra encouragement to come out of his shell. Benny's selective nature with other dogs means socialization will be a rewarding but gradual process, helping him become more comfortable in various settings. Owner's Responsibilities Exercise: Ensure Benny gets daily exercise through gentle walks and indoor play sessions. His small size doesn't demand extensive activity, but regular movement is essential for his well-being. Training: Enroll Benny in obedience classes to build his confidence and improve his social skills. Consistent training with positive reinforcement will help him feel more secure. Grooming: Regular grooming is crucial to maintain Benny's coat health. Brushing several times a week will prevent matting and keep his coat looking its best. Health Care: Keep up with routine veterinary visits and vaccinations. A balanced diet tailored to his size and lifestyle will support his overall health and well-being. Affection and Socialization: Provide Benny with plenty of love and gradual socialization opportunities. Encourage interactions with other dogs and people in a controlled and positive environment. Commitment for Life Adopting Benny means committing to a lifelong journey filled with patience, love, and companionship. Dogs like Benny are not just pets—they become cherished family members who rely on you for care and protection. It's important to remember that dogs should not be left alone for long periods, as they thrive on companionship and interaction. By choosing Benny, you are promising to provide a safe, nurturing, and loving home throughout his life. The happiness and love he will bring into your life are immeasurable, and your dedication to his well-being will enrich both your lives in countless ways.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions or scan the QR code and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue.
