Story
DOB 4-24-2025 Izzie is looking for a Mom! She is a baby that likes to stay close, a 24 hour girl. Izzie is social, loves to play, gets along great with others and wants to be an important part of her future home. She will be between 7 and 8 pounds, has a natural tail and gorgeous ears with a cute little face. She is very smart and focused. She is up to date on all medical, spayed, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 heartworm preventative infection. Her adoption fee is 900.00 and her transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC they leave every other Friday to deliver their stops on Saturday to the East Coast The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Well can I just say I LOVE the ranch!!  My last house had 148 dogs and it was REALLY nasty!!!  The authorities finally came and got us all!!  Here at the ranch I get spa days and the food is real good and we have a huge field to play in!!  My best friend is Layla.  She is really scared so I stay close to her so she feels safe and hopefully at some point she will start to trust humans again.  The volunteers are really nice.  They hold us and talk to us and its VERY different from what we were used to!  Mom says she is going to attach some pics of where we lived but I am happy to forget all about that and enjoy life. REQUIREMENTS to adopt GiGi MUST HAVE ANOTHER SMALL DOG MUST HAVE A FENCED YARDVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Coco Chanel is available for adoption. She is 4 years old and weighs 9.7 lbs. Her adoption fee is $700.00. My name is Coco Chanel. I came into the care of SAYR on Saturday November 8th from a caring family in NY that could know longer look after me. I am now staying with Lori & Mitch in NJ. Even though I have a lot of energy, being only 4 years and 7 months, I was on my best behavior in the car going to NJ. I was a little nervous the first day but I quickly got very comfortable. I'm still learning the ropes on a few things. I heard that I will be going for a check up at the Vet this coming Tuesday and I plan on greeting the doctor with a lot of barking - sometimes I just cannot help myself when I see someone, except for Mitch. I like to shadow him. I'll let you know how the doctors visit goes. Oh, and one other thing, I think someone bought me a gift. I'm not sure but it could be a winter coat with a CC symbol on it. See you all next time. Her training is paying off—she’s listening beautifully and soaking up every bit of love and praise that comes her way. This weekend she went on a little adventure to Yorkie Days, where she made new friends and wowed the crowd with her circus-dog antics. This girl can leap like a gazelle—we swear she can clear four feet in the air without breaking a sweat! At 20.4 pounds, DeeVine is the happiest, most curious soul you’ll ever meet. She loves everyone and everything, greets every day with a tail wag, and would make the best best friend anyone could ask for. When she’s not showing off her jumps, she’s busy hunting for her toys or playing a competitive round of tug-of-war. She’s also an angel on the grooming table—sweet, patient, and perfectly behaved. DeeVine’s joy is contagious, her heart is huge, and her spirit is pure sunshine. Whoever gets to call this girl their own is one lucky human.  Deevine is staying with Meghan in Ulysses, PA. Pearly came to us as an owner surrender along with her brother, Jack. Pearly is a 9 month old puppy who weighs about 7 pounds.  Pearly was very loved in her prior home and comes into the rescue a very happy pup with good potty manners.  This little girl is the perfect mix of lap sitter and playfulness. Pearly would do well with a fur sibling to play with. Pearly also will need a fenced yard because she loves to run.  We are working on leash manners and she is doing quite well.  This little fluffball is not only beautiful, but also she is very smart.  This is one happy little girl who is always busy, but not too busy for a belly rub!
