Story

Hi, there are two yorkies that are full bread brothers but have no official paperwork. These are my little buddies for the last 13 years. They are very chill except for visitors they don’t recognize. They still like to play and sleep on your lap. They have been wonderful dogs and we are sad to rehome them, but know it’s for the best. We have done recently discovered allergies and 3 children to tend to. Would love to send them to someone who has the ability to give them some attention & care.

Story

PARKER (TENNESSEE) Parker is a 12 year old 4 pound yorkie boy who is being fostered near Ashland City, TN. Parker is doing so much better since coming into rescue. His skin is all cleared up and his coat his healthy and shiny. He will still need regular medicated baths. Parker did have his dental and lost a few teeth he developed an infection of the salivary gland but has taken some antibiotics and is all healed up from that now. During the dental the Dogtor did a tear test and discovered that Parker does have dry eye syndrome and will need to be on an medication for this for life. He has been diagnosed with early Stage B2 Chronic degenerative valve disease since coming into rescue. At this stage of the disease he will be treated with a medication called pimobendan (Vetmiden). This medication has shown to slow down further progression of the disease and prolong the time until the development of congestive heart failure. Parker has no fluid buildup at this time and he has not yet gone into congestive heart failure. He will need a recheck in July with the Cardiologist. Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Parker does require a special adopter who understands his medical needs to give him the proper care he needs to live his best life. He is adoptable and has a lot of love left to give. Story

Lexi came into our rescue when her beloved momma, one of our fosters and adopter, passed away. Lexi is 3 years old, spayed, chipped, hw negative and about 10 lbs. Great with small dogs and cats. She is house trained and crate trained, but doesn't need to be crated, but she does find a crate to be a safe space. No children under 12 and no dogs over 20 lbs please. If Lexi were to describe herself she would say. "I'm a little shy until I warm up to you. Sometimes with men a little longer. But once I warm up, I want to be your forever lap buddy, but I also have a feisty side and may bite, that is the terrier in me. I can be nippy or growly If I'm pushed to something I don't want to do." Her ideal home would keep her name (it has been hers for so long now), non chaotic, be home more often then not, and have a physically fenced yard. She has been through a lot recently, losing the only home and momma she has known, so we hope that her new family will respect that and know she may take a bit of time to settle into a new place. She really needs someone who understands the breed and will give her the time and space to become comfortable. She loves to be in your lap and just wants to be loved and feel safe.
