Story
Hi, there are two yorkies that are full bread brothers but have no official paperwork. These are my little buddies for the last 13 years. They are very chill except for visitors they don’t recognize. They still like to play and sleep on your lap. They have been wonderful dogs and we are sad to rehome them, but know it’s for the best. We have done recently discovered allergies and 3 children to tend to. Would love to send them to someone who has the ability to give them some attention & care.

Story
PARKER (TENNESSEE) Parker is a 12 year old 4 pound yorkie boy who is being fostered near Ashland City, TN. Parker is doing so much better since coming into rescue. His skin is all cleared up and his coat his healthy and shiny. He will still need regular medicated baths. Parker did have his dental and lost a few teeth he developed an infection of the salivary gland but has taken some antibiotics and is all healed up from that now. During the dental the Dogtor did a tear test and discovered that Parker does have dry eye syndrome and will need to be on an medication for this for life. He has been diagnosed with early Stage B2 Chronic degenerative valve disease since coming into rescue. At this stage of the disease he will be treated with a medication called pimobendan (Vetmiden). This medication has shown to slow down further progression of the disease and prolong the time until the development of congestive heart failure. Parker has no fluid buildup at this time and he has not yet gone into congestive heart failure. He will need a recheck in July with the Cardiologist. Parker is the sweetest, smartest little fellow. He is pad trained, rides quietly in his crate in the car and he gets along with other dogs. He loves sleeping in his own bed and eats his food right up. He only barks when the other dogs bark. Parker does require a special adopter who understands his medical needs to give him the proper care he needs to live his best life. He is adoptable and has a lot of love left to give. Email foster mom with any questions at mandymsmith1@yahoo.com if you would like to fill out an application go to www.uyr.us also to read Parker’s previous bio’s to understand his journey since coming into rescue.

Story
Sweet, shy Toto is looking for his forever home! We don’t know much about his past but it’s safe to say he has not had a lot of human interaction. He’s been with me just a few days and has already come a long way in learning to trust. He gets along well with my other dogs. He loves to be outside so a fenced in yard is ideal. He has been fully vetted. We are guessing that he is around 5 or 6 years old. He appears to be part daschund. More pics and information to come as we get to know him.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
Sweet Yorkie girl Ginger (Lentz) is still looking for her forever family ! At just under a year old and about 10 lbs this girl would make the perfect companion. She loves snuggling, giving kisses, playing with toys, and being with her people. She is great about letting you know she needs to go out to potty. She’s been around dogs big and small as well as cats and is good with kids.Lentz (Ginger) 1. Approximately 1 year old female Yorkie/wire haired mix (less than 10 lbs).  Still has puppy energy & nibbling habits (easily managed with toys & playtime). Sweet & snuggly (will crawl right up on your chest) and sleep with you at night.  Likes to swipe things that aren’t hers but will gladly give it up to you (another fun game!)  Loves kids (met kids 4+) and being social (went to a soccer game and a patio restaurant like a proper lady).  Fine with big dogs but can be a little barky when she wants them to play. She gives up and respects them pretty quickly.  Not very interested in cats. Loves to chase the squirrels & birds out of her fenced yard. Even does the little bird dog paw pointing!  Will love to go on adventures with you as she hates being left behind! No long hours in a crate for this girl.Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
**Texas adoption only*** This is Joey, a senior dog with the heart and soul of a resilient soldier. For starters, Joey is a beautiful senior Lhasa Apso mix with a unique personality. He's a polite but guarded gentleman who looks like he's wearing a fancy gray suit! Joey is a very sensitive dog who'll need very sensitive, present, and patient people to take him on. For Joey's adoption process he will need several appointments and meetings to see if it is a good match. Joey enjoys long walks, perhaps one of his favorite activities, and will take you on a nicely paced walk through your neighborhood everyday if you get him on the leash! Joey is well trained knowing both how to behave and be comfortable in a crate and relieve himself outside. Joey also enjoys a good tug of war and was a mean puller during his old army days with the other boys in green. He's a child at heart and loves to play with toys! This fellow would prefer to be the only dog in the house but can be tolerant of other dogs. If other dogs are present Joey might feel a bit insecure and start marking. Please don't move too quickly towards Joey! He likes a very relaxed, low-energy environment and is not afraid to let you know when there's too much going on. Joey would prefer no children or at least older children that can respect him and not stick their hands in his face. In addition, Joey prefers people not be too grabby with him. He enjoys his personal space. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
