Story
Now that she has recovered from her eye removal and dental, Wanda is ready to find her forever home! She is 12 1/2 years old and weighs 19lbs. Per Wisdom Panel she is mostly a Yorkie/Poodle mix, but has a little bit of Cocker Spaniel and Chihuahua mixed in! Wanda has never met a stranger. She happily greets everyone she meets with tail wags and sometimes kisses. She does great with other dogs, both big and small. We believe she would do well with anyone in her forever home, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Wanda’s foster family says that she is very laid back and mellow. However, she gets super excited for meal time! She will occasionally try to play outside with her foster parents or with the other dogs in the home, but these bursts of playfulness are few and far between. She is less of a lap dog than her buddies, Willis and Naomi, and instead prefers to sleep in a dog bed on the floor. Wanda does not require a kennel and sleeps in a dog bed on the floor all night. She does not have potty accidents in the house, but only as long as she is taken out regularly, as she will not alert her fosters when she needs to go out. She had to have her right eye removed, but her vision is normal out of her left. Due to her age, her hearing is not where it used to be, but she is not deaf. Wanda is a chill, independent girl who her foster family says someone will be lucky to have. If you are interested in adopting this sweet senior, please visit rescuerowinc.org to fill out an application! *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1849749##

Story
Selma is 12 1/2 years old and weighs 12lbs. Per Wisdom Panel she is a mix of 5 different breeds with the main breeds being Yorkshire Terrier and Miniature Poodle. If we had to describe her in one word, it would be SWEET! Selma does not have a mean bone in her body. Selma is blind and almost completely deaf, as she can only hear very loud noises. Even though she is blind, she navigates her surroundings great. She is also diabetic, so she requires two insulin shots a day as well as prescription food. We know this sounds scary to potential adopters. Her foster mom had never administered insulin shots before but said the needles are so tiny, and Selma never fusses when receiving them. Selma is fantastic around other dogs. She does not play with them but will happily snuggle up with another dog in a dog bed. She is also great with everyone she meets! Selma is gentle, independent, and so sweet. She spends most of her days napping in a dog bed but occasionally likes sit on a lap and get pets. She is not potty trained, but as long as she is taken out any time she wakes up from a nap, she doesn’t have any accidents. We realize that Selma has a lot stacked against her - age, blind, deaf, diabetic, and not potty trained. However, she is a special girl with so much love to give. Her forever home is out there somewhere. If you are interested in adopting Selma, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org!  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash, zelle, venmo or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. Story
Willis is ready to find his forever home! You would never know how rough of a life he had before being rescued because this boy is an absolute love. Willis is the biggest lap dog and absolutely loves to snuggle with his foster family. If he is not snuggling, he is napping on the back of the couch. He is fabulous with dogs, both big and small. He doesn’t play with them, but they are just as great of an option to snuggle up with. He was recently cat tested, and passed with flying colors. Willis is shy when he first meets someone new, but he is won over as soon as he is pet. And you guessed it - he is snuggled up in their arms in no time. Loud noises also tend to frighten him, so his ideal home would be without children. His foster mom says that he is definitely a low energy dog but will get the occasional zoomies in the backyard. He sleeps in bed with his foster parents, snuggled up, just how he likes it. Willis is non-destructive when left alone and doesn’t require a kennel when his foster family leaves the house. Because he went 10 years without being neutered, or potty trained, Willis wears a belly band in the house. However, he keeps it dry most days! His foster family can’t say enough great things about this sweet and gentle boy. Willis is completely healthy except for a heart murmur. He takes medication for his heart twice a day, but can live a completely normal life. Willis is 10 1/2 years old, weighs 10 lbs and is a mix of 16 different breeds with the top 5 being 29% Miniature Poodle, 25% Yorkie, 12% Chihuahua, 9% Cocker Spaniel, and 4% Dachshund mix. Even though he is mixed with Poodle, he does shed. If you are interested in adding this lovable, mellow senior to your family, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org! Story
DOB January 11th 2013  Weight - 6 1/2 lbs  Liberty was surrendered to us due to his owners ailing health. He's looking for a home where he will get lots of attention and can be the affectionate lap dog he's always been. He's house and crate trained, and good with kids, cats, and other dogs. As expected with his breed and age, Liberty is fragile and should not be with kids or dogs who play rough.   Liberty can no longer take stairs and prefers carpet and rugs when possible.  He is neutered, vaccinated, and heart worm negative and has an adoption fee of $200. You can apply to meet/adopt him here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Poor little senior surrendered with a slew or problems that needed attention. She is mostly deaf and blind, had to have a teeth pulled and had bad ear infection. She is feeling and looking much better. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
