He is still an exceptionally young puppy with nearly his entire life ahead of him. At this age, Xander is still developing physically, emotionally, and socially. His adult personality is still forming, so his future family should be ready to provide the patience, structure, socialization, and training that will help him grow into a confident and well-adjusted adult dog. Yorkies may be small, but they are true terriers. They are often bright, curious, affectionate, lively, confident, and deeply attached to their people. They can pack an incredible amount of personality into a very little body. Because Xander is so young and tiny, he needs especially careful handling. His family should protect him from rough play, falls, unsafe jumps, larger animals that could accidentally injure him, and opportunities to slip through small openings or escape through doors and gates.
