Story
This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but I’m currently looking to rehome my dog, Juicy. I’ve had her since 2011, and she’s been a loyal, loving companion for so many years. She’s older now and really deserves a calm, caring environment where she can be spoiled with the love and attention she deserves. Juicy is truly a wonder dog—gentle, sweet, and full of personality. Unfortunately, with my busy schedule and growing responsibilities, I haven’t been able to give her the time and TLC she needs. She’s not just a pet; she’s part of the family, and that’s why I want to make sure she goes to someone who will cherish her in her golden years. If you or someone you know is looking for a loving senior dog to share their home with, please reach out. Juicy deserves nothing but the best, and I’m committed to making sure she finds it.

Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - ARCHIE BREED: Yorkshire Terrier SIZE - About 18 pounds AGE - 12 years GENDER - Male MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Archie is a wonderful little dog seeking the companionship of a wonderful adopter! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet, quiet, and clean, and a perfect little sweetheart that would be happy beside his special person enjoying a quiet life. Archie came to us from our favorite shelter partner in WV with another senior (female) that had been in her home. Their owner became ill and went into assisted living and no one in the family was willing to take the dogs in. In fact, they abandoned them in the owner's home until their veterinarian became aware and worked to have the family surrender them. Fully grown at just 18 pounds, Archie is a perfect size for most homes! He is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be required. Archie will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for him independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Archie and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Archie at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
