Yorkie Mix Male Brown with Black Markings 4-5 years old 15 lbs REGGIE – Meet Reggie, a very smart and energetic little guy who's excited to join your adventures! Reggie is a smart and obedient little boy longing for his own furever home. He has lots of energy and is always excited to play with humans and dogs alike! He gets on well with his foster's two other small dogs, friendly to other dogs (big or small) during walks, and is very eager to seek attention and affection from any humans around! He was down on his luck when he was found as a stray and was nursed back to his healthy weight by the shelter, and despite that, it's amazing to see Reggie confidently approach and ask you for belly rubs to show he's the sweetest dog around town! He is fully potty trained as long as he is taken out regularly. He loves head and belly rubs and will ask you for both if you’re seated together, and during evenings prefers to nap cuddled next to you on the couch. He is so easy to train and has learned to tolerate the crate if left alone at home. He is strongly food motivated, which his adopter will need to manage if there are other pets in the house. Reggie seeks his furever home, which he is so very excited to fill with his fun and spunky little personality! Meet Khaleesi !! We took in this super sweet girl and two others (posted separately) when they ended up in the shelter. They were in really bad shape. Their owner had dementia and lost the ability to keep up with their care. Since arriving they have been doing so much better and are ready to start looking for their forever homes. They are such good dogs and deserve the best future. They were all horribly matted with nails that were almost two inches long. They smelled so bad. We had them groomed thanks to Fluff and Buff grooming who fit them in quickly so they could be comfortable again. They also saw the vet and got updated. They’ve been so sweet and loving despite all they have gone through. Khaleesi is a female Yorkie. She weighs 11 pounds and is full grown. As for her age it’s a guess at best. Her owner said they were all 11 months old and we know that’s way off. We are estimating she is 6 years old but we just don’t know. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines as part of her adoption. She is heartworm negative. She will need her adopter to get her a dental done in the near future once she’s made it through her spay and has time to recover. It’s easy to fall in love with this one. She is super friendly and has a fun side to her still. She loves to cuddle and relax but will also get playful. Khaleesi has been great with all other dogs. She is good with both big and small dogs. She’s also fine as the only dog. We aren't sure how she would do with cats but likely fine. She isn’t fostered in a home with kids but we think she would do well with respectful children. She met an older kid and did great. Kids should be old enough to understand not to treat her like a toy. She rides great in the car but gets a bit nervous. She is good with her crate training. She is okay with leash walking but is still a bit nervous about it. She won’t yet walk at all with a harness on but will walk some with a collar. She is currently not potty trained. She came to us with a nasty urinary tract infection. This is potentially the cause of that. She is being treated for that and improving so we hope her potty training will improve with time. Khaleesi has had no trouble sharing food, treats or toys with other dogs or humans. She has a fairly low energy level. She is mostly happy just to sit around with you. She does have little bursts of excited energy where she wants to play or run around. After that she is back to cuddling again. Her energy level may increase as she completely recovers from her UTI and settles in to her new home. Overall she’s a great girl. She will require some additional vetting for the dental but promises to repay you with loyalty and companionship. Vet and home checks required. Located in Hampton VA.
