Story
Gizmo is a shy but curious boy who takes some time to trust, but once he does, his personality is incredibly endearing. At first, this Yorkie/Pug mix may scamper away if you try to pick him up, but once he feels safe, he’ll happily stand up on his hind legs, tail wagging, waiting to be scooped up. Gizmo isn’t a fan of cold or snowy weather, but he’ll go outside to potty when needed. He’s naturally curious and often follows his confident roommate, Sage, who has helped him come out of his shell. While another dog in the home could help boost his confidence, it’s not a requirement. Gizmo is looking for a patient home that will let him open up on his own timeline, and when he does, the reward is so worth it. Gizmo has an adoption investment of $500. Gizmo's higher adoption investment does not mean we value his life more than others. We do not see dogs like Gizmo enter our care very often. Therefore, his higher adoption investment will help create a financial legacy for the dogs that stay in our care for longer periods of time or require significant medical investment.
