Story
Meet Elbert! This sweet little guy is the total package: loving, gentle, playful, and an absolute pro at cuddling. Elbert is doing well with housebreaking and settles beautifully into the home. He’s not super treat-motivated yet; instead, he lights up with praise and encouragement, always eager to make his people happy. He’s incredibly well-behaved, non-destructive, and picks up corrections quickly. He already knows how to sit, and he can fall asleep literally anywhere. Elbert adores people and wants nothing more than to be by your side, or better yet, in your lap. His foster family says he’s the best cuddler they’ve ever met. If you lie down next to him, he’ll tuck his little head into your neck or chest and melt right into you. Everyone who meets him gushes about how sweet, gentle, and full of love he is. He’s fantastic with kids (ages 13, 16, and 18 in his foster home). He lets them carry him around, cuddle him endlessly, and happily chases them around when they play. He’s also great with other dogs, including the resident 12-year-old pug, Elbert plays politely and knows when to back away. He sleeps through the night, enjoys his stuffed chew toy, and gets adorable zoomies after meals. He’s a grazer with his food, tiny in size, and a very quiet sleeper. He’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime sweethearts who wins over every single person he meets. If you're looking for a snuggly lap dog, Elbert is your guy. Whoever adopts Elbert is truly getting a treasure. He is precious, he is gentle, and he is ready to pour all his love into his forever family.

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!** I am catching up on my vetting and will be able to go home with my forever family on Dec. 23rd!**   Updated: 12/2/2025 Dog Name: Zoomie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Yorkie/ Mini Schnauzer Mix Approximate Age: 7-10 months  Approximate Weight: 7-10 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Soon to be Spayed Description: Zoomie is a sweet, loving, and spunky young pup looking for her new forever home! Zoomie adores going for walks, playing with her people, and then curling up for snuggles and kisses. Zoomie is still working on her potty training. If you’re looking for a cuddly, energetic companion who will shower you with love, Zoomie is your girl! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 8, 2025, 5:05 pm

Story
About Me: Name: Woodle Breed (or best guess): Yorkie-Poodle Date of Birth: 7/29/25 Gender: F Approximate Weight: on 11/12   5 lb Adoption Fee: $650 Requirements: Loving families Why In Rescue: Breeder surrenders Profile:   We received a number of puppies from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was not able to sell them to a broker or pet store.  They are happy friendly puppies who just need a family to grow and learn with.  When you apply and are approved, you will be able to come see the pups that are still available for adoption so you can pick one that has the personality you are hoping for.  They are all adorable and should be low or no shed mixes.  They haven't lived in a home yet, so a home will be new to them, but they should learn quickly!  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 28, 2025, 10:06 am
