Story
2 years old (estimated) Spayed Female  10 lbs. Has done well with other dogs and cats  No known experience with kids  More information coming soon! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.May 20, 2026, 5:29 pm

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 5/18/26 Dog Name: Cartier Sex: Male Estimated Breed: YorkiePoo Mix Approximate Age: 1-2 years Approximate Weight: 18 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Cartier and his friends were found in horrible condition and have been through a lot. Their hair was terribly matted; they were hungry and scared. He is friendly and smart and happy to be saved! Now that Cartier is safe in WI, he needs a loving family to continue showing him about the good life! Cartier is sweet as can be but needs a little bit of time to warm up to new people. He just is taking the time to settle in after all that he has been through on his rescue journey thus far. Each day Cartier gains more confidence and is opening up more showing his little personality. He’s looking for a calm home where he can continue to come out of his shell. He is an adorable little guy with the cutest curly coat! He does well with other dogs and respectful kids over the age of 10. He loves to be outside and would love a fenced in yard of his own that he can explore! Cartier is searching for a home with patient owners who can show him all the love and help him gain his trust in humans again! Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. May 21, 2026, 7:15 am

Story
Meet Roo, a beautiful 1-year-and-6-month-old girl who found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own. This sweet youngster is a truly great dog with a heart of gold, just waiting for the perfect family to give her the second chance she so richly deserves. When you first meet Roo, you might notice she is a bit of a nervous girl. She takes a little time to take in her surroundings, but don`t let her initial shyness fool you—underneath that reserved exterior is a fun-loving pup with quite a bit of energy! She is always ready for a good playtime once she feels safe. Roo is a social butterfly when it comes to other animals. She does great with most other dogs and has successfully lived with cats in the past. When it comes to felines, she either politely leaves them alone or engages in a completely friendly, playful chase. This wonderful girl is also good with kids, making her a great potential match for a family. From what we know, Roo is already crate trained, which will help her settle into a routine. She is also a bit of a vocalizer, so she will happily use her voice to let you know how her day is going! Roo is completely ready to leap into her forever home today. She is already spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current on her flea and tick preventatives. She is also fully up to date on all of her core vaccinations, including Bordetella, Canine Distemper, and Rabies. If you have the patience to help her confidence shine, Roo is ready to be your most loyal companion! If you have any questions about Roo or our adoption process, feel free to reach out at (920)-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. You can also stop by during our open hours to take a look around.
